I'll believe it when I see it.
EDIT: I believe!
The price drops have taken hold at one of my fave places here in Canada. They are sick actually. AM2 3800 for $175! AM2 3200 for $120 (all prices are CDN). It's sad, since I just shlled out 160 for a 939 3200 for a friend only two weeks ago. Dual cores are about the same though...

Very good news, and might be worth one last upgrade in my PC before I go out and buy a new system. :original:
wow, looks like I'm timing myself right with the upgrade I planned for fall....coolOriginally Posted by Incinerate_IV

Too bad this destroys margin sales on desktop products for AMD, but hey, they still have servers and the upcoming AM2 processors... too bad the latter won't beat Intel anymore, but they'll get their crown back... one day... d i s t a n t f u t u r e

Yup, AMD better think of something fast, since if Intel and AMD have a price war Intel is always going to win. AMD is just too small to compete with a big company like Intel. I mean AMD was beating Intel for 4+ years in processors and Intel is still doing fine.
