Projectile defence FOTS
Hi all,
I have been messing around with moding a single unit. Just changing things like accuracy to a wild figure so it's obvious in game that the mod works. Everything seems logical apart from projectile defence. The in game info card for the unit I am moding (Satsuma Black bear infantry) says that defence is for melee and that seems to work, making that stat larger will make the unit harder to kill in melee combat. The info card also says that the armour stat is for projectile defence. I have been raising this to insane levels of like 100 trying to make a difference but the unit I'm testing on will still die under projectile fire as though it was never modded.
This leaves to think that maybe the projectile it's self is over riding the armour stat and killing the unit. If that is true then I can't see a way to make a unit more hardy in ranged combat without changing every other unit that uses the same projectile weapon. Which also means I can not mod individual defence stats for certain units against ranged fire like I can for melee.

Did you tested bows and guns? All guns are armor piercing, so they may ingnore armor completely.
