Default Error When Attempting to Edit Preferences

I opened the launcher and clicked edit preferences and I got this error.

The first time I figured it was due to Steam but even after moving it out of program files there's still no such luck. The mod itself seems to run fine and I haven't had any other issues.

Any ideas on what I can do to remedy this situation?

Edit: After double checking the path I see there isn't actually a preferences folder in the RTW Gold folder, only in the BI sub folder. Can I change the path or will it still not work?

Edit Again: I really should have mentioned initially I'm running RTW gold on steam and Roma Surrectum 2 patched to 2.5

I'm no technical wizard, but do know that there is a separate preferences.txt for each campaign sub-folder, created when you start each campaign.

However, there is nothing stopping you editing the file directly using 'Notepad' or a similar text editor.

Hm, that actually never occurred to me. I'll give it a go, cheers!

Edit: Turns out the folder the launcher was trying to open was under "_IMPORTANT_STUFF" in data. I copy and pasted it to the main folder and the launcher can open it fine now.

Alex, can you give me the address as to where you moved the file "_IMPORTANT_STUFF" to?
