    Default Ska Bands

Ok, I know they arnt exactly a new band but I have been really getting into their music, Ska is in my opinion one of the best forms of music going on, ok so it isnt a patch on Floyd or Led Zep but Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, The Aquabats and 7 Seconds of Love are amazing bands.

At the moment im listning to Idiot Box by The Aquabats and its combining everything you would expect from Ska in the song, amazing bass line and fantastic horn playing with some groovy drums and guitar.
Im going to be learning Bass very soon and I have fallen in love with the bass lines from some songs particularly Gainsville Rock City by Less Than Jake and Unemployed by 7 Seconds of Love.

I was just wandering if anyone else was intrested in Ska and if so who their favourite bands are.

I like ska. It isn't my favorite type of music, but it's usually quite good.

    Some bands:
Against All Authority (though they play less ska now than they used to)
Streetlight Manifesto (I've only listened to a few songs)
Less Than Jake (their new album is just terrible though)
    and some others

and how could I leave out the Mad Caddies?

Couldn't agree more- its gone far too pop-punky for my liking.

In the past couple of days, I've started listening to a lot of ska. I've found at least five more ska bands that I like, which I didn't list above. Some very good music indeed.

A Billion Ernies, Five Iron Frenzy, High School Football Heroes and Shrimp Shack Sunrise. All fine Ska bands. You will probaly have to look up most of the bands on Purevolume.com however.

My like for Less Than Jake peaks at Hello Rockview and then goes down liking every new album alittle less.
