Petition for Fall of the samurai bayonet DLC

I see a lot of threads asking about bayonets but no real petition on here so i decided to start one and see if people would pay for them to take time to do the animations and sell it.I for one would pay for it just like i did for the blood pack dlc.



So vote people or sign for support or just let your feelings known on it to CA.Togeather we can probably convince them that it is financially viable to add in bayonets and still keep the katana as a sidearm as they used both in this period i believe.For example they could fix a bayonet and keep firing if they expect melee and if contacted can still fight with the bayonet but if you give them the melee order they could perhaps switch to the katana as well for a sword bonus?

No. I will not buy it. I refuse to purchase something like bayonets.


I prefer the game with them in, but I shan't buy them. They will either put them in for free, or they won't at all. Im fine with either option, but if they sell it as a DLC then I will lose a lot of respect for them.

Just why on earth would I want to pay for a basic feature like this? Besides, that would probably break the multiplayer too.

Well u should know how CA works by now friends.Its sadly either pay or go without.The blood pack was not to bad price wise i think if they could offer it for somewhere around that price it would be ok.Better than nothing.

And i should of added in a third option in the poll to reflect if anyone wanted bayonets but expected them for free.Could an admin edit the poll and add in this as a third option please? I think it would get more votes instead of people voting no and perhaps CA thinking no one wants it when they just dont want to pay for it.

No. While I support extra playable clans DLC this is definitely no. Never. Not in this life time and next.

However if this feature is included in the next patch together with next major DLC then I'm all for it.

They absolutely should NOT charge for bayonets. I don't understand how they aren't in the game originally, but I feel like it's something that could be possibly patched in, although it'd be an ambitious undertaking because the units would require new animations and stats for melee.

We'll probably see a DLC pack that includes bayonet troops available for every faction and maybe adds them to foreign units by default, along with some historical battles or something. I don't think they'd release DLC just adding bayonets.

This is where I draw the line. The blood thing was ok, because it HAD to be done like that.


But bayonets were only excluded because of time constraints. If they were to do the bayonet animations, then they would release them as a patch. Otherwise, CA would lose a lot of face.

Seriously. This petitioning for everything under the sun is getting stupid now. It`s getting so stupid that CA must be laughing whenever they see another self-righteous `petition`. Petitions should really only be for serious issues and rarely used. This is just making the whole thing a laughing stock.

It can never work for that as CA have to go and motion capture bayonet v every single other weapon in the game.And v horses also.It would either have to be all or nothing i think.Though it might be hard to balance when people dont buy it and we both meet in MP.I guess if bayonet and sword has the same attack value then it wont really matter.More so for horses and anti cav so i dont think it would really break anything.No more of an advantage people have with the Sengoku DLC.Even the blood pack is an advantage sometimes lol.Ever notice that u cannot see anything in fps mode with all the smoke? The only way i know im owning with the gatling gun is i can see the blood through the smoke

Cmon u cannot afford 99p? If you do the maths i think 99p would easily cover the costs for them.

I believe CA has took a note regarding bayonets already.So maybe we can ease up on whining and moaning ?

The petition was not really meant to be a whine thread Chopy but more so to see if people would offer support to them finance wise to finnish off the bayonets they had semi implemented it seems from a certain screenshot floating around showing a fixed bayonet.

We could just stay silent and never get anything done.

they didn't finish them not from lack of money , but because of time constrains.Now they sold butt-loads of FOTS , so now they have plenty of time to wrap up a nice little gift for us loyal fans , don't they ?

OMG do you really want to pay for something as basic as bayonets?? Next thing we will have to pay to have cities and generals too... in the next TW title they could just release an empty map and sell everything as DLCs!

Ah i prefer that the imperial faction had bayonets from beginning and the shogunate must have at least 3 points of modernization. That should be realistic.
