I'm also haveing the border lines issue, can't see them.
Also just wondering would this be compatible with the standard Rome, or Darthmod Rome?

Does this mod disable the borders? YES.
Tested and those files do that.
To have borders visible WITH this submode just REMOVE whole folder called INDICATORS:
rs2.5\data\terrain\aerial_map\indicators\here are border files

hello,
noob so don't understand this:
4..GO TO THE RS 2.5 LAUNCHER AND DELETE MAPS ....
oh do you mean click on delete map.rwm
or this:
To have borders visible WITH this submode just REMOVE whole folder called INDICATORS:
rs2.5\data\terrain\aerial_map\indicators\here are border files
I must admit that I am a little frightened of deleting a this file, as it contains pathways etc.
But this is what happens when you as a 55 yo to delete files on one of these computer thingys.
Actually I'll just move it some where safe to see what happens.

My fault. I did not write WHEN to remove.
So the steps are:
1. install RS2 mod
2. install Strat map alternative texture mod
3. remove those files (they are from Strat map alternative texture mod now) to use STANDARD files
or alternatively remove those files IN MOD Strat map alternative texture BEFORE copying it to RS2.
You can also do what luzvimindo said and paste those original files as he did.
All means the same: you need to get rid of border files that Strat map alternative texture mod has and go back to border files of RS2.
Go to your data folder in your RS2 installation, then go to the important stuff folder. There should be two folders there pertaining to region borders, one with region borders and one without. Choose which one you prefer, pick the folder correlating to the faction you are playing as, and copy the file inside into the data folder of that factions' modfolder in the RS2 root install.
alright here's my take on these region border issue..first,BEFORE installing this submod to any mods go first to the aerial map file of the mod YOU want to install this submod,
mod\data\terrain\aerial_map\indicators... then copy this following files :
region_borders_general.tga
region_borders_main_colour.tga
region_borders_primary.tga
region_borders_secondary.tga
region_borders_secondary_colour.tga
then install the submod, after installing go back to the INDICATORS folder and paste those original files i ask you to copy and voila! borders will be visible again..
these textures are quite nice! *thumbs up* just a question, is there such a harsh limitaiton for the texture resolution? some seems to me rather blur.. but that might be just because i havent played RTW/RS in quite a long time..
bump...works on 2.6
Beautiful terrain, very colorful.. except Egypt - Nile delta now looks completely barren (even swamps looks like desert?)
Just plonked this in my game, my my, what a gem of a modthank you very much, kind sir
