Radeon X800 XT versus X800 GTO

In Japan, the radeon X800 XT costs $100 more than X800 GTO. Is it worth it?

The NVIDIA 6600 Ultra costs $140 more than the GTO is that worth it?

I guess the value of money is relative, but are the difference in graphics that hugely different? I look at some numbers on the web and there is hardly a difference, and other numbers show a 40% difference. How do I decide?

I have a AGP MOBO and was looking for one last upgrade to hold me over for three or four years until I rebuild my computer.

All those cards is a little out of date, especially the nVIDIA 6 series. The X800GTO is a great card, I would get that over the X800XT, since the performance difference isn't that big. If you want a really high end card get the nVIDIA 7800GS for $270.

I'd go with the GTO. Not sure if it'll last 4 years though - kind of a stretch. The GTO's are mad overclockers - so you should get some extra life if you chose to OC.

If you did the 7800GS, your mobo could go out in style! It is a much better card than the others and its the latest AGP offering I believe...

if it just came out, I hope it is still on sale this Xmas. The cheapest price in Japan is over $330 bucks. Maybe it will come down in price by then too!
