Anyone else have this problem?

The trait/family system is so good in EB, yet i find myself wanting to roleplay specific families etc, it sounds stupid but i just cant use some random ass general leading troops. I always started with lucius scipio and then went onto his sons, but now both of them, have died and have been childless, im trying to get a general from the lulius or lunii family to carry it on but i just cant. Is there any specific prerequisite to getting certain family names? Im just before the marian reforms too.

a)1. Get a captain to lead a big army in battle. Wait to get a message to promote him to a family member.
2. Is he a Iulii or a Iunii gens member?
No? Go to 1.
Yes? Mission accomplished.

b) 1. Kill your Family Members.
2.Soon you will get messages with "A candidate for adoption". Didn't get what you wanted? Go to 1.

Hmm i did not think of this actually, i shall give it a try, ive just been waiting for the adoptions to come up even though i have about 10 women unmarried, maybe a hardcoded limit on family members. Thanks.

You can spawn him into the game through the EBBS_script.txt, here are a couple of tutorials on how to do it TUTORIAL1, TUTORIAL2. You can find the EB traits in EB/data/export_descr_character_traits.txt & the EB ancillaries in EB/data/export_descr_ancillaries.txt. Here is also a tutorial on these files TRAITS&ANCILLARIES.

IMPORTANT: always back up ur files fies, & use notepade++.
