Default Saga Clan - Red Bear Infantry?

I'm playing a Saga camapaign and on some of the promotional screens for them had the Red Bear Infantry. Looking at the Dictionary though, it seems only the Tosa (?) have Red Bear infantry. Does anybody know what is up? Or am I missing something?

It's a bit of a shame....but yeah, Saga don't have any unique units...

Satsuma get their black bears, tosa gets red bears + tosa riflemen....

Odd, oh well, it was an extra faction, and their ability to get foriegn aid so quick is kinda a unit bonus in itself.

After playing through them though, I have to say their position is horrible, Nagasaki may start out as one of the richer places in Kyushu, but your port is so far from your city it makes it horrible inefficient to use it to conquer places that aren't next to you. You could try going for the islands, but like my experience with the Uesugi, to go for the island means to spend all of your time and effort into capturing that island, which really hinders your conquering ability on the mainland, where it really counts.

Satsuma's position is much better, just one province away is the most fertile ground in Kyushu (its actually my largest city in my game), and it doesn't take long to get the Iron and Copper mines as well.

Saga has the best position in the game. They start next to the "Three golden kings" Three very fertile farms that generate the highest tax revenue in the game. They can take Higo on turn 4-5. Hirado can be dealt with by declaring war on his other ally. Which he eventually usually gets. In Legendary i can secure all three kings in 8 turns. Shortly after you can enjoy a 10k income.

Satsuma may expand quicker but Saga has the better trade in the end. The islands close by should be upgraded with trade ports only, and your job is Saga is to play Luigi to Satsuma's Mario. Basically, you take what Satsuma could not and you offer support.

As an Imperial, you're going to play the support role. Now if you go Republic...then......good luck.

Alternatively you could use my strategy; Beat up Mario until he surrenders and admits you're the superior brother, then take over Japan as the Luigi Bros.

In my Aizu campaign the Saga conquered half of Kyushu and parts of Shikoku and became the Imperial vanguard... I was quite surprised when they invaded central japan with significant forces. It was futile of course but still impressive.

Unfortunate that they don't have unique units though. :/

In my campaign, Saga kicked Tosa out and took whole turtle island.
