    Default Office of Thomas Maldow

This is Thomas's Office, where Thomas spent most of his time reading. The Office is quite spacious. It has some comfy chairs. The table is filled with books. There is a very odd lamp also on the table. Thomas probably brought it from his Home. This is where students do detention and they can come to the Teacher after hours.

Good afternoon, professor. I came to ask if you'd be willing to sponsor a club. It has to do with your particular class, and I suppose it could be considered, err, academic

Well, a dueling club. I think it would be beneficial to have more practice, wouldn't you professor? Let's face it, although You-KNow-Who is gone, there are still his followers around. I've heard that they can be just as deadly....

''Duelling club would indeed give you more practice. I will sponsor this club. It is a very good idea. This will prepare you for your future duells.''

That's great! Well, now all we have to do is work out meetings...how about Monday evenings?

Atticus found himself walking down the halls to Professor Maldow's office. He had not forgotten about the professors promise to give him some private lessons, but he had something different in mind besides learning old spells. Over the summer he had contemplated creating some of his own that the other students wouldn't know about. He arrived outside the office and knocked.

Thomas was sitting behind the desk. He didn't look so good. He looked tired and he clearly was. During the Summer Thomas had been travelling constantly and he had a lot of explaining to do about last years trip to the Forbidden Forest. Thomas moved his wand and then the door opened. He looked at Atticus for a moment and then smiled
    ''Come in young Atticus.''
Thomas again swinged his wand and one chair moved
''Sit here. You can see, that I look a bit dreadful. I must say this Summer was unique. I had many things to do and not a lot of time to do it. Now I remember, that you wanted to get some Private Lessons. I must ask, what spells or techniques or advice would you like to know then?''

Atticus thought he knew what the professor was referring to, and added with a note of awkwardness:

Professor, what happened in the forest wasn't your fault. You specifically gave instructions not to wander off...

Atticus took a seat and folded his lands on his lap

Professor, I've been reading a lot over the vacations about magical theory. I read that it was possible for wizards to create their own spells and tailor them to their own needs and uses. I was thinking, well, if we worked together, we might be able to develop some?

Thomas knew, who was knocking. He put his books away. He walked towards the window and looked out.
''Come in and take a seat.''

Thomas now took a seat and looked at Friedrich
''I am sure you know, why we both are here right now. Last year's incident was unacceptable.''
Thomas still was very angry about, what had happened

    Thomas looked at Atticus
''Forbidden Forest issue was unacceptable indeed. Creating a spell. Very interesting. I must say, that I am not so much aware of making own spells. I believe, that you've read a lot about it. Own spell would be your signature if I am right. What kind of a spell would you like to do? What would be its purpose?''

Atticus crossed his legs and took out some scraps of parchment he had written on

That's why I've come to you. I would like to develop some curses. I own a cat, and, well, it can be quite ferocious at times. As I understand it, curses are meant specifically to cause harm to whoever they hit. I would like something inspired by my cat, perhaps something to cause the same level of discomfort a cat could cause when its in a right state. What do you think?

Thomas stood up and walked slowly back and forward
''Hmm....well it is possible to create such kind of a spell. How powerful should it be? Should it do a lot of damage or should it do lighter damages. Be honest, I won't go to the Headmaster, when you say something bad, as I want to know how powerful would the spell be.''

"Sorry to interrupt, Professor, but Andrew and I saw something that looked like a giant! He looked humanoid, but he was like 15 feet tall! So, Andrew and I went after him, which happened to take us close to the Spiders Nest. Then it all went downhill from their."
