Someone please help this noob :)

Hey all, Just picked up Total War Rome and like it a lot! But, I am a noob and need some serious help. Hence the reason why I came here...
My questions are:

1- EWhen playing the prologue tutorial and i syart taking Settlements do I leave my Govenor/Main guy there to build certain thing? Because if I do How to go claim other settlements in the alloted ammount of turns the senate gives me?

2- After I take a settlement and leave to attack another one the town I just left starts to riot and I have no idea why. How do I keep the town calm and make gold to pay for my armies etc. What is Squal and the other things that make people unhappy and how do I fix these things to keep peace and have no riots or revolt? Is there any good youtube videos on how to start this game that shows step by step what to do so I can get a grasp on this game? Thanks all.

Your choice. Some of your generals you will have high governing characteristics; so you will likely want to leave them in cities. Others have good battle characteristics; so you may want to take them on the warpath. Others have both; so making them very versatile, yet hard to choose. Some have neither: so you may want to send them on suicide missions.

Squalor and Public Order are an intrinsic part of the game. You need to pay attention to them. You can not just conquer and leave, unless you want a string of rebel settlements in your wake (which can be a good thing, if you are doing it in enemy territory).

For immediate corrective action, just build up a garrison in the captured town and wait a few turns for public anger to subside. If you capture a larger town/city, you may want to select the "Exterminate" option to help with public order in the short term.

Never send generals on suicide missions. Corpses don't procreate.

My MO when conquering, if I have time and money to prepare, si to use one full stack to siege, and have another stack close behind with troops to garrison and replenish my main army.
