as you can see in this thread, I seem to have a problem with the effects for fire arrows.
Lazarus mentions that it's just a random bug, but for me it occurs everytime and I find it quite annoying.
I'm also not quite sure if shots are supposed to look like this:
My Gatling gun look like that in the picture too. Maybe that is intended? If you can show a video, then maybe we can identify if there is a bug involve.
Yes, I'm not sure either if it's a bug with the gatling gun that's why I asked if it's normal.
All I can say is that the flame arrows and torches are definitely bugged for me, here are some more screenshots to those I posted in the linked thread.
Can't post a video because I don't have fraps or any other record tool installed at the moment.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Close up of a flame arrow...
burning gates don't seem to be affected by this bug
but torches are!
Here's a video were the flame arrows look like they should do.
OP, what GPU are you using? How many gb of vram? And at what monitor resolution? What graphics settings? (e.g. ultra or high textures?)
You could be a victim of the nefarious "secret graphics downgrade" that CA has implemented. Basically if your settings are using too much vram, the game automatically down-grades your settings (without telling you). So while you may have particle effects on ultra, for example, the game might be reducing it to low without you knowing.
1.5 TB HDD
AMD Radeon HD 6450 (with 3.5 gb of memory)
8gb DDR3 RAM
AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor (6 CPUs) ~ 3.0ghz
The 6450 certainly does not have 3.5gb of memory, it has 1gb. It's not sufficient to push graphics at all in a TW game. This is not meant to offend, only to inform. If you go over your vram limit, TW will auto-downgrade your settings.
What's your monitor resolution?
What's your operating system? If it's 32bit, then it will only recognize 3.5gb of your 8gbs of ram...
