    Default Wooden walls / pallisades

By the time I´m attacking an enemy settlement surrounded by “wooden walls”, the walls appear absolutely normal from the distance; but when my battering rams are approaching, the “wooden” walls suddenly look like brick-walls and if the rams are breaking through, the walls just disappear like vanishing into thin air, not the cool sound of splittering wood like in Flagellum Dei etc.; Is this a bug?
    Thank you for your replies,
    Regards Marcel

I really don't know as I have never experienced this one before. Perhaps others can help here.

Noticed this one too. The Wooden walls are now brick walls, and they seem to lack collapse animations.

Happens to me every now and then, but I just ignore it.

I thought the brick walls was part of the mod.

Maybe I am just not that observant, because I have never seen this

Can you tell me what level of settlement this occurs at? This has got me intrigued

    Good morning
I experienced this "disintegration" of the wooden walls the first time by attacking the Alemanni town Chnodomar at the beginning (3rd turn) of the 355AD campaign. I don´t know exactly which level of settlement Chnodomar starts with. By attacking Colonia Agrippina I also ascertained that the wooden walls have cavitys at the edges - which are unpassable, however.

By the way: I switched off the Anti-Aliasing in the Video-Settings and the CTD´s are much less since then

    OK,

Just to confuse things even more, I just attacked Chnodomar and I didn't have the problem that you reported. The walls were there all the time till I broke thru the sections with the rams. Even had the sound effects.

Weird, can only assume there is a conflicting mod or a left over piece of one?

Hm... I un-installed all other mods and the main RTW Gold Edition before installing the Gold Edition again and then the SAI mod. I even cleaned the registry from all RTW - files and the preftec-folder. Thus, my installation is cleaner than clean
Anyway, the Alemanni are history and Chnodomar is (West-) Roman !!!
