Wow Dorian I'm speechless You've changed history by reviving hellenism again, you are a new far greater Alexander Btw, I'm playing as the Greek Cities myself, although I doubt I'll make it this far. Cheers mate, you seem to have perfected the dark force

Yeah what the hell was the deal with their main unit. I can't remember name, and I played them with vanilla version. But it said in unit card that they had good morale and they were always running away. One of my campaigns with them was on VH/VH, I sieged a city and was attacking the remaining group of 30 roman guys in village square with my army of 400 of them or something like that. Then after a few casualties half of my army started running away, wtf?

hehe, i remember crazy mass routs happening in Vanilla.
i had like 300 units of roman histati and principes. the enemy had like 5-6 units of cavarly. on VH/VH
they had already routed to the town center cuz i killed everyone else in their army.
so i slowly marched to the town center and i see them charging at me. 3 die instantly but the 3 remaining ones fought like gods. they routed my whole army. lol

Gillam I: Your online existence saves you from becoming "souvlaki" in our duel! Dorian would never publish fakes to our community!
Caw: It is hard to estimate... Judging from my first to last save - in a month's time-frame - it looks like I've been playing for 60 hours. Started with Rebels, Macedonians, Romans... finished with Carthage, Brits, Scyths and the Amazon rebel tribe at Thermiskyra. My winning recipy? Defend cities only in ther center, attack superior enemy armies with Spartans and catapults, and - best of all - hit the enemy's capital with an army hidden in ships as soon as he sends his armies against your cities! It worked for me but - Shaggy1973 - no, I haven't tried it on VH/VH yet. I'll wait for DarthMod 8, hoping that elephants will no longer bug my phalanx attacks.

Oh Dorian...you expanded Hellenism as planned! Happy to see 1 more campaign ended by a DarthMod Fan. Despite some rare CTDs that mostly are of custom reasoning...DarthMod plays flawless and bugfree till the end.
    Few mods accomplish that.

Thanks to you, Darth, I did experience the most fascinating battles I've played since the appearence of RTW! The only surprising imballance I have to mention is regarding Brits: The outrageous fearlessness they present while looting the continent, the most unexpected incompetedness they demonstrate once you block their ports and attack them on their island(s). Was it just my strategy or they really miss the ability to accumulate any wealth on their home-grown economy? Has any comrade looked upon this issue more carefully?

Yes, many factions frequently leave vast regions and sometimes even capital (!) weakly defended with minimal garisson and concentrate all forces on their front, which leaves their rear exposed and allows quick blitz before their main forces arrive for counterattack. Darth could you plz modify that AI built some rear centralized defensive armies, cuz sneaky players (me too ) really like to exploit this

    Not possible.

The only thing I would recommend to prevent this is a garrison script which spawns an army when you siege the settlement. This army can be anything, but I think it should consist of non elite troops only (as the main army is off campaigning) so it would be levies, missile troops types only. A bit like Pyrrhus' siege of Sparta.

Just something to put up a fight and defend the walls. Missile troops can be very annoying in sieges I find anyways.

Thats a good idea so the AI doesnt just fall and down so easily.
i know everyone attacks mainland egypt when fighting them cuz they r just too god damn annoying. this will somewhat make it harder. there have been quite a few times that i attacked there and the cities were stacked with only 1 archer. i wonder how 1 unit of archers could keep control of a 40,000 city. it was on VH though.
another time, their faction leader was the only garrison. after i sieged it, i guess he had a heart attack and died of old age the next turn. so i just walked in. TOO EASY!
    ur idea is great.

i also saw a good idea a few pages back about increasing the number of turns it took to build building. i think thats also real good. but also double the cost or sth. cuz if u double the time but not cost, u will b left with so much money.
i remember in EB they had building that cost like 14,000, or some other building that took 20 turns to build. i think those r a bit too long or too much, but u get my idea. :original:
