Preorder units coming

Ok I was at CA's office yesturday and I raised this issue direct with Craig, Craig is well aware of this thread and the communities desire to obtain all of Napoleons unreleased DLC units and CA know that a lot of Total War fans are collectors and simply have to have every single unit in all of the games and are dissapointed themselves that the players havn't been able to do this with Napoleon.

With this in mind you'll be overjoyed to hear that CA have already decided on and authorised the release of Napoleon's DLC units and have now passed a request onto Sega to see if they are also happy to have them released and decide in which form the release can take place.

We are now just waiting for Sega to decide on the next step so keep your fingers crossed guys and hopefully we'll have some official news in the not too distant future.

I don't believe you. Until one of the CA guys come in here and tells me this is legit I doubt they will be doing that... They haven't released anything for NTW in ages so why start now?

Shire Knight is pretty well-known forum member and a moderator for the official forums. He definately has connections to CA and I doubt he would lie. The reason why I don't think CA made an announcement is because they don't want to get everybody's hopes up only for Sega to decline the preo-order units for some reasons.

Hmm fair enough. I'll wait and see though because a forum poll and a company announcement are very different things lol I might be interested in those units but wouldn't pay more than 5$ for them..

Yea, I don't come to these forums to troll or lie. I am just posting what I read on the official forums as written by ShireKnight, who as said by EmperorBatman is a respected figure on the forum scene.

Of course it all depends on SEGA now but I have no doubt of the legitimacy of this claim.

Ah Boustro... Shireknight is a moderator over at the official forums. He has been to CA in Horsham and they have told him they are talking to SEGA for the rights to release these units as Dowloadable Content. I think it also includes the units from the Limited Edition "Elite Regiments Pack" and the Imperial Edition "Heroes of the Napoleonic Wars Pack"

About 2 years passed since the release of the game and now they should ask their insidious master SEGA first to let them release pre-order units ??! As a loyal fan of CA ,I see it so disrespectful of them to play us like this for just a handful of units I would be glad if they're released ,But would not pay a penny for them !

So far still silence and no SEGA approval yet. I wonder when they will be released?

after so long i doubt this would ever happen the support for NTW ended when they released the db files

Have we heard any more on this?

dlc? who would buy them? we can make those units in mods.

of course not id love to be wrong but im not hoping for anything I agree with noif id rather see the perorder factions of FOTS be released....shame thou they did it for empire im fine with preorder stuff just release it at some point after really lame when companies dont

These things take time, we just have to have patience.

I have HMS Elephant because I pre-ordered the 'Imperial Edition' at GAME UK.

I'd be really interested to know if these 3 pre-ordered units will come in one downloadable pack or as individuals, as this could lead to problems with me having one of the units already.

Would also be great if they released a hole load more units to spice up the game. I know they have already released a fair number of units so far, but I'd pay for extra units, and I know many others would too.

Why would you having HMS Elephant be a problem ?? They did the same with ETW, where I had Special Edition with USS Constitution as pre-order. Then I bought the DLC, activated it and voila.... No problems, just two new units...
