    Default Anyway to save hiero?

I noticed on one of the unnoficial mod threads someone talking about having the reforms with a son of hiero, and after playing yet another game hiero always dies for me when bribed. And syrakuse is on the fringes of rebellion even when hiero is alive, he dies the next turn a heros death - and i always get a rebellion.

It would be nice, both historically and gameplay wise if i could keep him alive?

*cough* mod a faction into Syracuse *cough* (maybe Casse) or at least make Syracuse also included as Starting city for either Epeiros, or Koinnon Hellenon (dunno which one is closer though, Hierro is a general of Phyrrhos, but Syracuse traditionally is closer to the greek cities proper)

sorry, complex EB traits often means if some eleutheroi FM are bribed, they'll die

It can be done, there is a trait in there that basically makes him unmovable and when bribed he dies, it is an invisible trait so all you just need to do is search through the all the traits in the game folder file and work out which one is which.
