Installation issue

Hi. I have installed successfully the RS2.5 Beta in the right folder. But I still have a problem : When I start RS2, it's like I didn't installed the patch ! I'm really sure that I've installed the patch in the good folder following your words dvk901. All the data of the patch are included in the RS2 File.

The only way to see the modification is to start RS2 through the launcher of the patch. there, I can choose one of the 6 additional nations. But when I choose one and I start to run the game, it's saying there is an error : you probably wrong installed the beta !

Crazyyyyyy. Please If you can help me it could be nice.

This error means that RSII is not installed correctly.
If you go into the launcher folder, the parent folder (the one just above/before the launcher folder) should be the main folder containing data and the game exe(s).

If you're unsure about whether you got it right or not, could you please make a screenshot of your main RS folder?

I cant send you a printscreen, the website says there is too many characters. I explain :

I 've downloaded the 6 RS2 files. I created a file named "Roma Surrectum 2" (emplacement : Library - Documents ). There inside I installed The RS2.5 BETA. I received the correct message : "do you want to overwrite the files..." and I answer yes.

I was sure it was the right place, but obviously not.

That's the one, though it would be best if you moved it out of the program files (to My documents for example, or C:/game/RSII).

As you've installed both RS2.0 and 2.5 in your documents, what you need to do is to go inside the folder where you have installed them. You should see a lot of folders, including data.

Copy everything, and paste it in C - Program Fils (x86) - The Creative Assembly - Rome Total War (or whatever new path you have). You should see the data folder here too.

What you must NOT do, is to create a RS folder inside the RTW one.

but those data are already in the main folder.

1) I take my main folder from Program Files to My Documents
2) I go inside this folder, I see a lot fo folders and data that's true.
3) Then I copy the whole folder and paste it back in Program Files ?

Now, in my Folder "The Creative Assembly", I hev 2 under folder : "Rome TOtal War" and "(Rqoma Surrectum 2.5)". It is right or not ?

maybe should I restart everything no ? I destroy all files (exept those for installation of course)

I restart the installation of RS2 into a folder in "My documents"

Could you do a screenshot of this folder?

Save it on paint, then upload it to something like imageshack, and share it here using the insert image button.

I just restated the process. I created a folder named "Roma Surrectum 2" with the 6 files of the installation, and I put it there where u see on the pic.

Please use the edit button instead.

Ok on va le faire en français, ça va être plus simple je pense.

Maintenant que tu as ce dossier avec le 2.0, il faut que tu y installes aussi le patch 2.5.
Après tu copies le tout vers ton installation de RTW, en écrasant toutt.

ok, ca donne ca une fois que je l'ai installer dedans. dc après je copie le dossier avec le tout, c a d le dossier que j'ai intitulé "Roma Surrectum 2" mais qu'est ce que tu vx dire par mon istallation de rome total war ? c censé etre ou ?

Non, il ne faut pas que tu ais le dossier (roma surrectum 2.5) à l'interieur.
Va dans celui-ci, copie tout, et colle à l'endroit du screenshot.

Ensuite, ben tu as le jeu Rome Total War dans un dossier.
Tu copies ce dossier, et tu le colles dans mes documents.

Une fois que tu as fait ça, tu reviens à ton dossier RS2 (celui du screen), tu copies tout, et tu le colles dans ton dossier RTW.

PS : Edite tes messages plutôt que de reposter à l'instant d'après. Il suffit de cliquer sur le bouton edit en bas de ton message.

Bon c fait, Tout est copié dans le dossier Total War. Si je lance RS2, les 6 nouvelles factions devraient être affichées ?

Voila, g copié tout ce qui avait dedans, je l'ai collé dans Roma Surrectum 2 et je l'ai effacé ensuite. dc mnt, g ça :

Ca a l'air bon, mais tu peux enlever les fichiers RSII, RSII_setup, et RS21, RS22, RS23, RS24.
C'est pour l'installation, tu n'en a plus besoin.

Maintenant, il te faut ton dossier RTW.

Oui j'ai essayé, quand je lance le jeu via l'onglet sur le bureau, il s'ouvre comme d'hab mais ne me propose pas les 6 nouvelles factions dans la liste de toutes les factions jouables ...
