Default China Government , you disappoint me , disappoint a patriot

I am a patriot , that's no doubt , I love my country ,if someone want to invade or divide our country , i will try my best to defence ,even immolate my life . but i don't love the Communist Party , because Communist Party doesn't = China , it did many many bad things to the chinese people , he kill many many innocent people like the japs did in WW2 .

A chinese history webpage was forced to close and change it's name for a week , because it's "open discuss of the history from 1949 to 1976 (the new PRC found to Culture Revolution end)china " . I always go to that web-page , because it let me know much about the real history which the the stupid history text book didn't said or just tell a lie .

Todays China seems very open , economy growing very fast , peoples are rich . but the news paper , webpage etc all media organizations are under controled and watched by the gov . why ? why we can't very open to discuss the bad side history of Communist Party ? Like the Culture Revolution , like The Gate of Heavenly Peace event(1989.6.4, this event is forbidden thing to discuss all around china openly , you could not find any information from chinese web-page search engine , because all the key words are block). even just discuss and support Kuomintang's force was the main force to defence the japs armies in WW2 , Presider Mao have many disadvantage , he let the china become his empire , lead the chinese to a wrong way . that's no promise in mainland chinese web-page . If there is no public voice to supervise , the gov's officers will become corruption , they won't hear the people's real opinion .

We are human , we need freedom , we need incorruptible gov , we need liberty of speech , we need the equal . I am very dispoint about the Communist Party , dispoint about our country , dispoint about our chinese people who could not speak what we want to said in China .

All these i just can say and complain in here , because TWC is the only non-chinese web-page i alway on , all people in here are so friendly and senseful , thanks TWC , thanks all members in TWC . Forgive my bad english , hope you can understand what i mean ........

Well, overtime the government would realize that what they've been doing is pretty senseless. The ROC discovered her own mistakes only after 70 years of political tutelage (white terror). For the PRC it may take a bit longer. But don't worry. You have my support. Paz.

You have my deepest sympathies Waitcu. China is a truly great nation and is proud to boast one of the oldest civilisations in the world. Although it is very good that the country has at long last come out of its self imposed isolation from that world, I fear it is soley because of the benefits foreign investment is making to an elite rather than to the nation as a whole as it is cheap labour markets that are being exploited. Western government such as my own, say nothing about the way the Communist government is curtailing freedoms as too many foreign companies are making themselves rich by exploiting these cheap labour markets.

If there is one thing I detest other than freedom abuses it is corruption and although corruption seems endemic throughout the world, Communist governments have it on a grand scale and it is this that will hold China back to developing.

I'm assuming this refers to the Chinese History forums, correct? I lurkered there every now and then.

    4) The most formidable handicap for a creator would be non-existence.
    5) Therefore if we suppose that the universe is the product of an existent creator we can conceive a greater being — namely, one who created everything while not existing.

I know a ChechChech from school, adn he told me that anyone who talked bad about politicians of the country risked execution.

“Sweat saves blood, blood saves lives, and brains saves both.” -Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel.

"In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love; they had five hundred years of democracy and peace and what did they produce? The cuckoo clock."

Running over people with tank is an era gone by. If the Chinese government would run over people with tanks now they risk a real revolution.

Democracy (working) is a product of people getting smarter, not government getting toppled.

They still throw lawyers in jail for fighting for people to not have their houses torn down by corrupt city officials.

The problem with that site is that it's hosted in China. Move to a server in Europe or the US and the Chinese gov won't be able to touch you, and you'll still be able to operate. All the domain guys need to do now is to sell the domain fast to someone out of the country before the government knows what's going on and someone outside will reopen it.

I hope that happens. The best way to combat oppression is to resist it at every turn. Look at the Pirate Bay! (Good thing the RIAA don't have "reeducation camps")

Of course. When we have true freedom we will all be able to kill and steal from each other at will - that's what freedom is.

    Muehehehehe....

In any case, preventing people from getting smarter is the best way to combat democracy, or to de-democratise a nation. Waitcu can totally go to chinahistoryforum.com instead. That's a site hosted in Singapore. Just don't express ideas that sympathizes with national socialism.

Eh, it is arguable. Not everyone agrees that Democracy is the best form of government. I believe in some democratic institutions, but not in a absolute Democracy. This, however, does not make me an idiot.

In essence it isn't a "Commie Party thing". The Chinese Government has always been autocratic, and the Chinese Communist Party is simply continuing the old "guanxi" and "houmen" thing. ("Connections", and "backdoor", for those who don't know about China - i.e "connections" = favours from people you know, especially those with influence, "backdoor" = doing things through unofficial channels). It's part of the culture, and not a part that I particularly like. The "Guomintang" were equally squalid in different ways.

As I've said before here, China is one of the most capitalist countries that I've ever been in! To repeat myself, it is an American Republican's wet dream! No free health care, no trade unions, few health and safety regulations, and those existing are usually not adhered to. Low wages, long hours, no labour protection. Rush Limbaugh/Bill O'Reilly would be jerking off if the USA had all this!

Waitcu is right to hate the injustice!
