Taking Black's invitation, Viktor arrived at the residence of Percival and knocked on the door three times. He stood there, wondering what this man had to speak of.

The door opens on it's accord.
Viktor enters the home and stands there, glancing around.
Percival Black?

A voice comes from inside the house.
In here, please. Come right in.
I am in the living room.
Viktor walked in the direction of the voice and found the living room where Percival was.
Greetings there, Percival. You have a very nice home here.

Black stands to shake his guests hand.
Thank you Viktor. Used to belong to someone important in the middle ages. Then went into the hands of Goblins, and then my forefather.
Now what would like?
Firewhisky? Scotch? or Vodka?
He gestures to the bottles behind him.
Viktor glances back at the bottles behind Percival and shakes his head.
I am fine for now, thank you. I have been trying to watch my intake since my appointment to the Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Need a keen mind for such duties in that department.

"Surely a small.drink does.no harm."
I am quite fine, Percival. Thank you.

Black shrugs, pouring himself some Scotch.
Ah.. Take a seat, won't you? You know, I haven't put veritaserum in it.
Viktor's eyebrow goes up slightly. Why would Percival speak of Veritaserum? He strokes his chin slightly
Its not that I am concerned with that, Percival...I just need a straighter mind when I get home to finish the plans for my department's survey expedition into the Forbidden Forest in a few days.

Black watches intently, he did not like the fact that his guest was so tensed.
I do not speak without reason, Viktor. I'd watch out for myself at the ministry if I were you. Someone might like to add just 3 drops. Just 3 drops, that is all.
Black takes another sip.
Do you know, why I invited you here?
Viktor looks at Percival.
Not the slightest idea why you invited me here, Percival. Please, enlighten me. I have been curious since your Patronus offered it.

Simple. I know for a fact that you have some mission. But then, everybody has some agenda or the other. Why I called you is because I thought you are more trustworthy than other people at the Ministry. I have plans too, but my point is that at some point you would need allies, and so do we all.
Viktor remains silent as he strokes his chin.
Go on, Percival...I am listening.

Black continues, enjoying slightly with the air of a storyteller with an attentive audience.
Firstly, watch yourself at the ministry. People are already suspicious due to the Surrey affair.
Then, the proposal is simple, you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.
Now, I want to hear what you have to say.
Viktor's blunt expression upon his face would not betray his thoughts this time. This man was trying to play fire with fire it seemed...but Viktor would hear him out.
Interesting proposal...from someone within the Department for Magical Law Enforcement. What is it that you exactly want from me?

Percival peers on, intently.
Come on, dear fellow. We both have the fire concealed within us. It would be a shame to waste our energies upon one another. Our paths may not be same, but they might be parallel.
And speaking of Law Enforcement,
Percival starts smiling,
The whole place is smelly something fishy.
My proposal? I just told you some time ago.
But alright. Pray tell me what you make of it. And lets not play the poker face game again.
Vikor's face does not alter at all.
I was raised to have the same poker face as my father...it got him far and it shall do the same for me.
He strokes his chin lightly and ponders some.
Though I do not enjoy teaming up with someone, in the sense, these trying times may require it. I am unsure of what it is you really want from me...the exact details. But...I suppose I can lend a hand.
