Classroom 2E: Charms

Professor Harold Gaputa's classroom located on the third floor in the Charms Corridor, all Charms classes are held here.

OOC:
1st class begins tomorrow once all students have reporter in in 24hrs after this is posted.
There will be three classes each in game year, which lasts two weeks, and each class will take place across three-four days. Success in each class will be determined by a simple dice roll, either a d6 or a d20, with modifiers attached. The modifiers will be based on your RP preparedness, the amount of RP you do, and the quality of the RP you do.

An Owl arrives for Professor Gupta containing a message:

I have sent this owl as quickly as I can....it appears that some muggles have invaded your house! If you hurry you might be able to catch them in the act!

Weatherby arrived at the Charms classroom, very excited for his first class in the subject. Charms had always been one of his mother's favorite classes at Hogwarts, and she spent much of the summer showing him first-year level spells that he might expect to learn over the coming months. He hadn't had a chance to truly practice them yet, but hoped that he would learn quickly.

Atticus arrived in the class. He considered charms to be mostly a waste of time, just a necessary skill to learn because sometimes it was useful. He spread his books out on the desk and waited for class to begin.

Cecil walked into class with all of his usual swagger and vigor, Charms had been something of a specialty of both his and his father's and he was confident that this class would provide him with an opportunity to show off. He seated himself next to Weatherby and whispered, "You ready for our first day of Charms?"

Fritz arrives, and sits in the front row, as he wants to make a good impression on the Head of Hufflepuff

Ashley and Violeta enter the classroom, Ashley being excited while Violeta is less so, as she is less skilled at charms when compared to hexes. The two find seats near a window.

Sidious came nervous, he was never very interested in charms and knew very little about them, so he sat to the far back.

William came to class and took his seat not sure how he would do, he was never that great with Charms he was always better with Hexes and Curses but he had to take this class so here he was.

Xander strutted in and took a seat. He thought quite well of charms, better than Potions or Herbology at least. He took out his textbook and quickly skimmed through the table of contents, a small preview of what they would be learning.

Professor Gaputa enters carrying in two snowy owls in their cages, then turns seeing the students starting to assemble and says "Welcome to Charms class, I am Professor Gaputa. Over the coming months I will teach a variety of Charms and how to properly execute them. Some of these I will not, lie will be more difficult than most spells you may already know. But do not worry Im sure that you will all do wonderful. Now before we begin, is everyone present?” He smiles at Ashley and Friedrich “I see all of the first year Hufflepuff students are anyone else from the other houses? “

Steven came to class.Im very sorry im late proffessor , and he bows too, just i arent used to U.K-s timezone becuse i was born in Estonia he says. He sat next to Atticus and hoped that the teacher wouldnt notice him at all.

Andrew was rather flustered as he entered the room; showing a bright pink in embarrassment at his lateness. He bowed rather stiffly as he apologized, before taking a seat in a quiet corner of the room.

"I apologize for my tardiness, I was rather confused by the schools layout."

Professor Gaputa merely nods and smiles at the tardy students before speaking
"That's quite all right, it's not that hard to get lost here, I knows that by experience just try not to let it happen again. Any way well then now that it seems we are all here let's begin. We're going to start with a very simple spell called Wingardium Laviosa"The professor than goes to the owls taking some molted feathers and passes them out to the students. Professor Gaputa then casts the spell himself to show the students how before turning and saying."Now why don't you all try if you have any difficulties just let me know."

Cecil wasn't too concerned about this spell, although his failure with a more advanced fire charm several days(?) ago had ruffled his feathers somewhat he was certain he could pull off something as simple as Wingardium Leviosa. He waved his wand at his feather as instructed and confidently said, "Wingardium Leviosa!"

"Wingardium Leviosa" Fritz enunciates, with a good swish and flick of his rist

"Levitation charm" Atticus thought to himself. He had already practiced this a bit and therefore felt confident about it. He eyed his feather, pulled up his sleeves and repeated "Wingardium Leviosa" while flicking his wand.
