Buggy
First off, I'd like to apologise if this post is due to a basic problem, as I'm not particularly computer-savvy.
I'm having issues with the game... I installed it successfully, as per the instructions, and I was able to play it initially and LOVED it. Phenomenal gameplay, CLEARLY well researched. Thoroughly enchanting game. However, I was only able to play until 317 BCE, when the game crashed. I tried again, with a different file and a different faction, and again right on cue it crashed in 317 BCE. Now as I try to open the game, it stays in the initial pre-menu load screen forever, and I have to restart my computer to escape.
What's my problem? Did I install wrong, get a bad copy, or is it a computer issue? I mean, my computer can run not only Rome, but Medieval II perfectly fine so I don't think it's a hardware issue.

Re: Buggy
317BCE?
Either way, welcome to TWC and EB!
Did you follow How to install EB? Are all 1.2 fixes installed?
If you have a repeatable crash at startup I would advise a complete new installation. btw, EB takes long to load, up to five minutes on older systems.
Also check the frequently encountered issues and the link Ferdiad provided for information about the mod.
Post back here if you have additional questions and/or the problem is still there.

Re: Buggy
Greetings, and thank you! I left the computer running loading the page for a while, and it did eventually load, which solves that issue. However, I couldn't find any explanation within those links as to why the game would consistently crash in the year (and I did get this wrong in the first post) 217 BCE.

Re: Buggy
There is a section in the frequently encountered issues about CTDs on Ai-turns (random and repeatable ones), read it careful and follow the advice given there.
If you can't solve the crash upload you save here (How (and why) to post a SaveGame) with the following data: version number, used minimods and the steps you already tried. I'll load it on my build and see what I can do.
