Potions Students are expected to bring with them a brain, two hands, a mouth, two ears, and a cauldron. A classroom set of 'Potions and the Modern Wizard' is available, but may be purchased in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley if you can find an antique bookstore (funding was very low, so old books are being used).
Regards,
Prof. Arthur White
Transfiguration Students are required to bring at all classes a wand, a copy of "The Standard Book of Spells" and a copy of "Transfigurations" (of the respective student's grade)
Best regards,
Milo Forsyth, Transfigurations Professor
To all Teachers,
This year will be very busy we are finally back to normal after the events of the last few years and we must try to retain that normality. I will be outlining the school rules in the Sorting ceremony, and you would do well to listen and take note of them in order for us to work as efficiently as possible. Quidditch tournaments will go ahead this year and I expect every house to make the effort to put forward a suitable first team.
Sncerely, Proffesor Baird
Sincerest Apologies,
Due to the decrepit state of the classroom set of 'Potions and the Modern Wizard' available, and the fact that the book in question is over one hundred years old, the Potions class will henceforth be using 'The Magic Brew - The Quintessential Guide to All Potions, Concoctions, and Poisons' - the newest and most expensive book currently on the market. 35 copies have been ordered of this book, meaning that it is not necessary for any students to buy a copy, though they may at The Greyhouse in Diagon Alley. Any students who previously purchased the old book will be reimbursed as soon as it is practicable.
Sorry for any inconvenience,
Arthur White
