Oh, I'm great, Arthur. Nothing is trying to eat me, so couldn't be better, said Milo Forsyth with a smile.
The headmaster entered the Staff lounge, nodding to the teaching staff as he entered, he knew hardly anyone yet he did not mind. The past few years had been hard on the wizarding world and the standard of teachers Hogwarts had gained did not differ to greatly from standards before the war. He was sad to see that many who had taught him had disappeared but, then again, so had many others. He took a seat by the fire, and sat back in contemplation, listening to the conversation going on around him...
-Well, I'm off now. Tomorrow is gonna be a big day, with sorting and with children being introduced to Hogwarts the first time after the war.
-Come to think about it, Mr. Headmaster, sorry to derange you but who is going to greet the new year's? I know in my first year Professor McGonagall used to do that, but she was Deputy Headmistress. I'm Milo sir, Milo Forsyth. I'll be teaching Transfiguration.
//somebody's gonna meet the children, and we don't have that straightened out. so who among the Heads of Houses will greet them?
James thought for a moment as he settled back into his seat, he did not yet known any of these people properly, so he did not wish to pick someone unsuitable however the man had asked, "Until we have something sorted out you can pead them Professor Forsyth." James concluded, "then I shall think over the matter more carefully for next year"
Thank you sir, but could you please ask someone more suitable for the task? I've hardly been here for a few days and I come from the wilderness. Besides, I'm not a very good host myself as I've hardly had any guests for the past several years.
What was the headmaster thinking? He could easily transfigurate those children if they moved too abruptly, not to mention jinx them. He was always ready to defend himself from all sorts of dangers and this did not make him a good choice for calming and reassuring first years'.
James frowned slightly, the man should not be worried having to deal with children, after all, he was going to be their teacher, "Very well then." His eyes scanned the room until they rested on Professor White, "Ahh Milo," he smiled, "would you consider doing the honours?"
Professor Gaputa enters slightly winded from his rush to get back to the school and considers the current conversation before saying
"If it help you any sirs, I will go and greet the students"
30 brand new books, with a golden inscription: 'The Magic Brew - The Quintessential Guide to All Potions, Concoctions, and Poisons' were dancing in the air in front of Gregory while he was walking in the corridor of Hogwarts. While slowly moving his wrist of his wand-hand, he let the books make well-known quidditch formations and let them spin around his head. He clearly had no loss of magical skills yet, and certainly not his charms, even though he was becoming quite old now. Although his own potions skill must have dropped quite a bit since he left hogwarts, he thought with a smile on his face.
'WHAT ARE YOU GRINNING AT?!' yelled a picture of a monk, who was trying to keep hold of an altar while he was dangling downwards. The painting had been put on his side. Gregory suspected it was being cleaned, but was forgotten. The monk, too heavy for his own weight, lost his grip, fell and Gregory saw him tumbling down his own painting and crash, if fired by a cannon, into a table with china ware in a picture of an English garden to the right of the monks painting. The men and women, dressed in 18th century clothing, yelled in panic and fled away from the tea party they were having.
Gregory continued and remembered how much he had loved hogwarts and still loved. It was not a coincidence that he came to Hogwarts today too bring Professor White his new books. The ceremony was today and he hoped to catch a glimpse of it. The books ordered by professor White which were recently published and for that reason very expensive, he bought in for 10 Galleons a piece, making it 300 Galleons in total. He would normally sell them for 15 Galleons a piece, but he made the mistake by promising the professor a 10% discount, which is very unusual for a new books. That would bring the selling price to about 400 Galleons. Why didn't they name the book: 'The magic brew' instead of 'The Magic Brew - The Quintessential Guide to All Potions, Concoctions, and Poisons'?? Without all these golden titel inscriptions, the ordering of the books would certainly have been 3 Galleons lower!
While thinking about his shop, he arrived at the door of the staff lounge and knocked on the door.

' I am sorry Mr. White. I am a bit too enthusiast, I believe.' said Gregory. 'I am here to bring you your books. Some of your upcoming students have bought the old school book on their own though. Before you changed the list.' Gregory said this rather quickly, as if he didn't want to talk long about books and business and continued: 'How is life in Hogwarts these days? Isn't the opening ceremony today?' he asked with great curiosity.
'.. J...Join you..?' asked Gregory with a stutter, 'certainly... I mean, I would love too'
-Well, I'd better get going as well, I still have something to read before the ceremony begins.
And with that, Milo emptied his cup and left.
Thomas walks in being stressed after the first day. He looked at the fellow Teachers
''I just came from the Headmaster Office. One of the students in my House has made a Love Potion. Has he caused any more problem? I believe that this won't be the end of his mischiefs.''
