    Default Most stable options ?

    Dear forum,

Which campaign of SOMNIVM APOSTATAE IVLIANI (with the actual Patch 1.2 installed... by the way: is the patch really only for the 361 campaign?) is the most stable campaign? Which combination of options is the best or rather the most robust (4pty script, 6pty script etc.) wihout uncontrolled CTD´s?
Thank you in advance for your replies.
    Regards
    Marcel

    Hi, forum
So many people apparently playing this mod and no one manifesting about the stability of the same? I simply want to know if it is advisable to play the 355AD campaign as Constantius II with the 6tpy script, for example. Or if I shall rather play the default 361AD campaign with 4tpy script (for example), because it is more stable with less or none CTDs.
Regarding RTW/BI, this mod is graphically easily the best mod I´ve seen as yet – and I played fantastic Europa Barbarorum almost for 3 years! I simply want to make the “correct choice(s)” in order to enjoy this mod really. Constantinus in the 355AD campaign would be a thrilling campaign for me because I love playing with Eastern Roman Troops. But is the 355AD campaign really stable? Please advise. Thank you very much

I honestly don't think there are any right or wrong choices, the campaigns are all there and are out for a reason - they are all playable. Insofar as CTD's are concerned, these do occur as is natural with the RTW engine, but none more so than others.

So go ahead and give all of them a try, as for choices for turns and so forth, that is up to you.

The campaigns are as stable as they can be really when it comes to CTD's, regardless of whether its 4-6-12 tpy or sound mods, vegetation models etc...just need to follow a few guidelines to reduce their frequencies. There is a thread around about what to do (like not saving right before a battle or waiting 30 seconds at the victory screen before proceeding and so on). Personally I've experienced only a handful in thirty odd turns of game play with my 355 campaign

Thank you for your replies. Just one more question:
is the option for the fantastic new portraits of the family members/generals relieable or do this optional feature cause problems or rather CTDs?

Mate, it's all fine, it's all embedded into the mod anwyays and as far as I (and the others) know it doesn't cause any CTD's. Have you had some bad experience in the past or something? A few mods not treat you right?

Oh yes... I remember the starting times of Europa Barbarorum; again and again countless hours of playing and then irreperable CTDs. That was depressing
