    Default I can't begin a campaign

I've followed the install instructions to the dot for the steam version of RS2 and when I run the launcher, it starts fine but upon reaching the main menu, I can't start a campaign. I don't mean I get an error or a message telling me to choose an item from the list, it just isn't there. I can play historical or custom battles and that's it.

I'm playing the Steam version and have Alex but I installed it over RTW-BI because I couldn't get it to work with Alex. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I don't know much about steam installs. Let me see what I can find

Thanks for the response century x. As for my install procedure, I made a backup of RTW-BI and installed into my original RTW-BI folder. As for my trouble with Alex, I copy and pasted my back up of RTW-BI's files into Alex and did not write over any files. The install instructions weren't clear on whether to merge the folders so I merged them (it says it will notify you if any files are overwritten) so I merged all the folders. I hope this helps.

Edit: I play on windows 7

Edit #2: It works fine with Vanilla RTW but won't run with BI despite the fact that they're in the same steam folder. Perhaps something to do with the shortcut? Still no luck with Alex.

Edit #3: BI no longer appears as a choice when launching from the steam, just RTW Gold Edition

Edit #4: I got it to work with Alex with a fresh install, still no luck with the BI issue.

That is weird. You can get the Alex.exe working but not the BI.exe, and the Alex was released at a later date.

Are you sure you are not missing and BI files or folders?

No, fresh install and nothing was done to it besides copy and pasting the files into Alex. It's like the .exe just quit working because RS2 nor steam will recognize it. It's still there in the files though. My issue of not being able to play is solved since I got Alex working but still, it's a strange issue.

Well at least you can play.
Do you want me to upload my BI.exe and see if it works on yours?
