Processor question re gaming

Disclaimer: I know laptops are totally balls for gaming, but I'm a student so needs must.

I'm looking at getting Football Manager 2012 which says I need at least an Intel Pentium 4/Intel Core Processor.

I have an Intel Celeron R processor. A quick 'will my pc run this' test shows that the Celeron is below the minimum needed.

My question is by how much? Is the Celeron a great deal worse than the processor I should need? Could I get by with my worse-than-minimum processor?

I would download the demo, but Steam doesn't work on my Uni residences' public wifi. Derp.

What celeron R do you have? download cpu id and post the results

and laptops are perfectly gaming capable, I still can get by with the HD 3000 on this mbp. Some can pack more power in a similar format like the lg p330, or others are quite the behemoth packing desktop cpus and dual gpus

Since the 7800 series is looking great, the 15'' gaming laptops are going to see quite a boost in performance
