    Icon3 Rome 2 Total War ideas & suggestions

    -NO CLONED units, all troops look exactly the same, put some variety especially on the barbaric factions with more tatterd and diverse clothing and the greek sheilds with different art work

    -give the greeks their proper phalanx, you know the one they had before the macedonians, were they folded over shields and held shorter spears OVER their sheilds, which brings me to my next point

    -some cavalry use their lances over the shoulder. do that. and also greek hoplites using spears over the sheild and adding ability to switch to sword when they get out of formation.

    -also let the troops mix in a little when fighting, unless their in tight formation which will degrade over time then mixing in and fighting.

    -add more factions in the north like barbaric clans and the sarmatians which should have taken place of the sythians in rtw.just more factions in general

    -bigger amplier campaign map make everything bigger showing better view of the map and terrain and lord please more territories!! also i would love to see the indus valley along with new factions i mean just imagine it.

    -NAVAL BATTLES!!!!!!!!

    -prisoner ransom,execute,release system for battles and they should add a "join me or die" option too.

    -instead of making all "unfactioned cities" rebels make independent kingdoms according to their regions and that relations with a city in arabia wont be affected if you have war with one in italy , and only keep rebels for when they actually rebel -_-...

    -what is gothic cavalry doing in 270bc? barbarians should be focused more on infantry, like alot more i mean what else do they have?tell me if im wrong but im sure they had bad cav.

    -add a cirlcle around highlighted missile troops showing their capable range.

    -Macedon, y u no add hypaspists? one of their most reconizable units! and why u put that spartan "v" in their flag???

    -i want the smooth moveness of units like in rtw back medieval was soooo slow and it took ages to call cavalry back from an attack.

    -Egypt, what is he doing here with his firends from 1200 bc? put back the proper ptolemaic faction and al its hellenistic troops!

    -no bloodthirsty factions randomly waging war and backstabbing!!!! cant 2 countries sit beside each other in peace?

    -idk about you but wouldnt it be cool to have an expansion based aroung the time period of the rise of persia??

    -uniqiue cities seiging same city over and over gets boring sometimes...

    -let factions live throught out the campaign so you dont find your self fighting the same one for 100 turns..

    -allow option to slaughter uh i mean deacrese populace of cities that are unhappy >_>

    -dont let a unit be exhausted when their waiting behind the other unit to fight i mean their just standing there

    -build walls were ever you want like hadrians wall,for when you are not interested in conquering some other faction or are very scared of them.

    -unit merging, nothings worse than having a unit of 10 urban cohorts and another of 40 legionaries and not being able to merge em. allow us to merge units that are alike like archer heavy inf. light inf. and ect.

    -unit merging pt. 2, be able to merge units in the battlefield like for example if you want 2 units of cav to act as one or to unite phalanx units into a huge single line.

    -fire arrows to lite peaple on fire and make em run around in pain causing disorder and havoc with in the enemy ranks.

    -stacked bodied making it harder to get over for example the phalanx whould have not just spears but bodies too

    -get money from battles or even armor or weapon upgrades i mean you just slaughterd an entire army you should earn somthing from it right?

    -dont make legionnaires the most powerfull in the game but most flexable like use pila against cavalry and certain formations to fight a certain enemy



    so yeah this is what i think should be added on r2twthese are ideas ive come up with over time and have found, mods have done a great job of implementig some of these in and the creative assembly should learn a little somthing from them.i have trust in them, even though theyve been acting wierd last couple years they keep this commom trend-

    shogun 2 > shogun
    medieval 2 > medieval
    napoleon > empire
    rome 2 > rome? lets hope so

    add your ideas and suggestions and hope this gets noticed!!

    Most of these I sadly disagree with and would be too hard to program.

    Also, this is like the 50th Time I have seen this thread.

    1. make the game highly moddable. modding is fun and will ensure the game has a long life on the store shelf.

    I want to see some quality story cutscenes and more beautiful music to enrich the experience.

    Some more variety when it comes to barbarian factions would be nice as well... Every faction doesn't need the same warband unit

    Isn't there already to exterminate populace in cities when you conquer them? And you can keep people happy if you keep taxes normal and build economic buildings. Squalor is bugged in RTW vanilla so I think they'll fix that in the RTW II

    I don't agree at all, it would be much more interesting as SPQR to fight against the northern tribes as they would try aggressively to push your faction down. Carthage is too weak and peaceful in the game, even thought historically they almost teared SPQR apart. That timeframe was full of war waging so it wouldn't be historical/interesting for factions to just sit there to be conquered.

    As for me:

    - Give back the ability to make generals level-up through governing cities and give them more traits (Like coward, brave, drunkard etc.) and give events for your Faction leader/Generals to gain command, management or influence points. Also make traits to have impact on the pre-battle speeches.

    - More northern tribe factions. Because Gauls or Germanians were names for their culture not tribes. Also the Gaul area was very rich because of gold mines, it is said that "So much gold was looted from Gaul that after the war the price of gold fell by as much as 20%"

    Helvetii tribe had good cavalry, like "Caesar sent 4,000 Roman and allied Aedui cavalry to track the Helvetii but they were severely beaten by only 500 Helvetii cavalry".

    - Much more historical content. Look at the units/factions/buildings etc. in EB, RS II and compare them to original RTW, quite difference.
