On his way out, Augustus notices the hand of glory, he examines it for a short time, then leaves.

Edward Cromwell entered, today he wore a hat, and removed it as he entered. Browsing in the shop he approached the counter, noticing it empty he tapped the bell. The sound echoing around the shop, crowded with objects. While he waited he picked up a small crystal ball, turning it round, where an eye stared back at him. Edward slightly shivered

Borgin saw Cromwell enter and slid off his stool. He hobbled over and executed a short bow.

"Anything I can help you with, sir?"

Edward looks down his nose at this hunchback in front of him,

"Well, if you so wish.. I am looking into any 'special' items you may have for sale. That may assist me in my quest to.. Expunge the impurities that need to be removed. If you understand what I mean.

    Borgin looked outraged

Impurities, is it? I stock top grade magical items! If you don't have the sense to see that then I'll have you out of my shop

Edward sighed and raised an eyebrow,

"I wouldn't dare to think otherwise, Mr Borgin."

He then took a large purse of galleons from his large overcoat pockets and placed it on the counter.

"Do you think you have anything that might interest me?"

We've got an item that you might find interesting, yes....

Borgin shuffled sideways and removed a large hand on a wooden base

This was returned to me by the Malfoys only a while ago, and it served them well. It gives the holder the ability to see through any darkness as if it were day, quite a remarkable item, yes.

Edward had never seen a Hand of Glory in the flesh before, but in the wrong hands, it could lead to great destruction..

    "Interesting, Mr Borgin. How much?"

Well, I wouldn't part with it for under twenty thousand...

"I will give you eight thousand for it, or else I simply confiscate it."

Cromwell removes his Auror's badge and shows it to the proprietor,

"And perhaps if you keep telling me when these sorts of items arrive, I shall give you even more."

You think you can just steal because you've got a shiny badge? I bet the ministry would be thrilled to know you've been blackmailing shopowners! Now get out of my shop!

Gellert arrives wishing to speak with Mr Burke.

Burke was shuffling around with something in the back of the shop. When he sighted Gellert he quickly hid something behind his back and flashed a yellow, unconvincing smile

Ah, Mr. Gellert. So nice to see you.

    Gellert chuckled.

"No need to hide anything, I am here because I want to have a look at your wares and maybe conduct business if you have anything interesting."

Gellert then looked around at some of the closest wares.

"You know that before I was here in Britain I spent several years looking for dark artifacts that could make me more powerful and I am an alumni from Durmstrang, so there is no need to worry that I might have anything against the dark arts."

Burke opened his eyes wide, suspiciously.

Strange hearing that from you, ministry employee that you are. I could show you a few interesting items fresh in, but they won't come cheap. Almost lost an arm and a leg getting them in...and I'm not joking.

    Gellert smiled.

"Sure I would like to see them and do you really think that we in the ministry cares about what you sell? I mean by Merlin's beard if that were the case you would have been put out of business years ago."

    Burke muttered under his breath

    They nearly did...

He hobbled back into the storage room and came back holding the same item he had shown his previous customer.

Here's the first one...the Hand of Glory. Gives light to its master even in the darkest of times.
