Juniper Klemens, a witch that works in the department of Magical Law Enforcement, enters the office and seeks out Cyprain.
Cyprian, I was investigating something strange. It seems that someone in your department has been selling some confiscated brooms under the table and pocketing the cash for himself...I was going to turn him in but I thought I'd leave the decision with you. I know that everyone in this department is pretty tight, and after all that's happened, well....you'll know what to do, I'm sure of it.
She offered an encouraging smile and left.
moderator note: Inquests are always bad, especially when it's one of your good friends and employees who has messed up. You have a choice to make, do you fire the man, or give him another chance? (Firing the man will lead to a 10% salary increase for that year due to the Ministry being impressed with your ruthlessness, saving the man could lead to an increase in willpower, it takes courage to stand up to those who employ you. All this is based on good rp, bad rp leads to little or no reward
Cyprian nodded
"Thank You Juniper, I appreciate you coming forward."
He smiled
After she left, he stood and looked at his wall. It held pictures, badges, awards from when he was a young Quidditch player, and a Ravenclaw to boot. He should have seen something like this coming. The fact that he didn't notice the activities upset him great, but not only that, it made him feel as if he had failed his friend for not noticing.
He summoned his friend to his office, and closed the door, placing a spell against sound upon it to serve as a precaution
"We have known each other a long time...we made it through the harsh comings of the war. We even are staying true to rebuilding. Brooms have gone missing, and I know you are the one who took them..."
He turned and looked at him
"You are a good Wizard, and honest wizard. I do not see why you did this, or why you would do it to this Department."
He sat and sighed
"Inventory will be counted again next week. If anything is out of place, you will not get another chance. Do not throw away this forgiveness. It could cost us both a lot more..."
ooc; The employee is allowed to stay.
Clarke looked embarrassed, even remorseful.
Cyprian...I'm afraid the Minister knows...
Cyprian looked disdained, nearly sick
"What exactly does he know Clarke?"
Not everyone working in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement quite...like me. They were only too happy to turn me in. Cyprian...I truly am sorry. I hate the position I've put you in...
"I hate it as well, and the fact that you did not come forth before hand only makes it worse."
He sighed once more, conflicted on what to do. But he was a Raven, not some impartial Badger. He acted as he was taught to do.
"The Ministers know we are in tough positions, and are in need of people we trust, and people who we can trust in the future. I do this as a friend Clarke, and only a friend. Do not kill this friendship for a few galleons. If you are that bad off, come to me, and I will help you..."
He stood.
"You may go. I will have to speak to Minister Huntingdon. Also, if you happen to have any more brooms, or proceeds left, please return them. Acts of good gesture could make this a whole lot easier."
He shook Clarke's hand, but pulled him close to whisper.
"Never again Clarke. This is the only time..."
The Minister of Magic Corrnelius Wolf enters the office, he has heard of the rumours of theft and wanted to see for himself

"Mr. Wolf? Here to discuss more of the reconstruction of stadiums?"
Cyprian unexpectedly resigns from the Ministry and the leaves the Wizarding World.
