After Defense Against the Dark arts class had ended, Atticus made his way to the Great Hall, hoping to meet Weatherby and Cecil after class. Other students were enjoying lunch, but Prince had little appetite.
Weatherby and Cecil were a bit slower than the other students making their way out of Defense against the Dark Arts, being too busy chatting about the day's lesson on Werewolves (and some of the issues they had with things said inside) to pack up quite fast. They finally strolled into the Great Hall for lunch, when Weatherby spotted Atticus.
"Hello Atticus," he said. "Not having any lunch? I could eat a... hmm... well, I could eat something big."
Atticus glanced evily at Sidious.
Ignore him. Look, this house rivalry stuff is crap. I like you two better than most people in my own house. Either the sorting hat was wrong or there's no reason why we can't get along with people in other houses.
"I agree. Who knows, the Hat certainly seems like it can be wrong, because it confused 'being a prat' for 'cunning' with that one," he said, the last words spoken loud enough for the other Slytherin to overhear.
John overhead the heated conversation and said
"I know this house rivalry is a load of nonsense and just because Sidious insulted you, doesn't mean he is a prat, it just means he doesn't like you." John said in an attempt at diplomacy.
Atticus looked imploringly at Weatherby
You really shouldn't provoke him. He has already got some blackmail against me and I'm sure he's just itching for an excuse to get after you as well. Watch your back...
Weatherby shrugged, but eventually shifted his attention away from the other Slytherin. "I don't want his trouble, but it seems simply being in Gryffindor is enough to provoke him. He went after Cecil too, in class. And what do you mean, he's got blackmail on you? What has he done?"
Weatherby's voice was tinged with frustration, but it would take much more than a cheap insult to get him to lose his temper completely.
John grins back at Sidious.
Thank goodness that yours isn't otherwise how would you stuff it with all that food... My, my it's like they don't feed you back home so you use every opportunity here.
Sidious finished his soup and turned to John.
We can meet later if you want to study or play. He said with a smile.
Than he walked up to Friedrich leaned towards his ear and said.
If you want to take me up I am at your disposal to kick your mudblood behind piggy, Other than that better leave me be.
With that Sidious left the great hall.
He caught me out of bounds near the forest while I was gathering plants. He told me either I'd have to help him find where to gather as well and 'work together' or else he'd turn me in. I told him to shove it. He just wanted me to find everything for him. All the work and none of the reward.
