I had to.
Them 'heretics' destroyed the jewel of the Orthodox Church; a huge cathedral, rebelled, and destroyed many buildings. They must pay with their lives!![]()

Is that mod Stainless Steel?
What mod is this one? I am presuming it is Stainless Steel .
Orthodox is my fave religion of this game, they lack the Papal Politics and jihad/crusade ability, but it always kind of seems like their Religion is all the purer for it =)
Pretty sure its not.
You exterminated Constantinople? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot...

You let them rebel?
Maybe you're not so evil...

No, for some reason, they got really mad about taxes. Don't know why.
If you want to see what campaigns come with the mod, go here. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1468. 12 campaigns, new units, new maps (Afro-Eurasian, Afro-Europe western Asia, world map, and Europe map), new regions, new buildings, new factions... Total war.
Below is what the map looks like in the beginning.

That's the manly way of doing things.
You do realize that exterminating also reduces trade quite a bit, right?
Exterminating a mediocre settlement (Say... Acre, Damascus, Cairo) is fine. Exterminating the biggest settlement in the game... That's just shooting yourself in the foot. The amount of money you will spend on repairs and the meager amount you receive every turn (Thanks to extermination) can easily put a dent in your pocket.

Well, if that's the case then I guess it didn't really hurt you. Just for future reference, refrain from exterminating such big settlements, you will regret it. I rarely exterminate as it is, especially cities... It's just not worth it.

Doesn't Eras Total Conquest have that Rome'y map?Or is that only one of the campaigns? It's a really long time since I played it
I never regret exterminating Cairo if my faction is from the far northwest. It always has huge unrest problems. Strangely, Alexandria seems to be much more manageable. If you exterminate the population will grow back at a very great rate (usually 5 or 6 percent) but all the great buildings normally get eliminated and some you can never build again. Egypt always seems to have a swordsmith in one of its Fortresses and I never want to destroy one of those.
