Default What's up with these scripts? SOLVED

    SOLVED
    See post #3 below.

I've recently been modding Third Age Total War and at some point something strange has happened (but no ctds)

I've been modding various files and folders and have noticed that when starting the campaign I don't receive any 'messages'. Or rather, not the 'Welcome Text'... Nor the gameplay yes/no scripts that should fire at the start of a campaign. They're all in the campaign_script.

I thought maybe it's something simple or otherwise obvious I'm missing that a more experienced modder could point out. I don't understand why they don't come up. All I did was copy+paste the script and thought that was all that was necessary?... Does the campaign_script have another file associated with it that I may have 'broken'? I have not encountered this before so I don't understand why suddenly the scripts are not showing up. Or the TATW Welcome To Middle Earth message.

    What have I done now
What could I try to fix this?

    Hope this is enough info...

Most likely you added something bad to CS which causes the script no to be processed hence no messages (they are iirc triggered in CS). Log would say script couldn't be created because of some error of which it should give details.

Not quite the case... But there was something 'bad' there though that was 'breaking' the palantir sound script. So it was the sounds, I fixed it though. Thanks for your help, I keep forgetting the log file does more than report ctds. +rep
