medieval 2 lag online

hi guys
posted this a while a go but still havent found an answer

my MEd2 lags online for some reasons.

its fine off line (in single player)

any ideas as to what might cause this?

(at moment its unplayable, been this way since i purchased the game).

RTW, and S2TW are fine online.

Whoever you're playing against if if offline is okay.

yeah but its every match, and when i ask them if they lagging they say no.. so i doubt it..

also ive tried plugged directly into modem, no router.. so its not that.

Your online play is only as fast as the slowest computer you're playing so if you have an uber-fast connection and they have a 56kb modem, you will lag and they'll never notice.

i hear ya... but statistically what is the chance of every single game I play them having bad connection? i mean i haven't played one game where it hasn't had this weird lag?

surely there are people online with ok connections..

and why this never happen for me with shogun2 and rome?

Different games, different players.

Rome is older and odds are not as noticeable.

Shogun2 is newer and requires a better internet connection unless you have what ATT bills as DSL. I've had 56kb connections damn near as fast after ATT throttles my DSL.
