Quik question, does the 4 TPY mod work with this patch? (2.5)
And I have another question about the end date for the campaign, do I have the option to continue in the end well beyond AD, even if I didn't finish my objectives?

Firstly well done on this master piece RSII team, thought I'd better start a Roman 1 turn campaign yesterday- it would have been rude not to- anyway first thoughts, needs 6 tpy option- or at least 4tpy- to properly enjoy the elections feature, otherwise there are elections each turn and leaves no time for consuls to campaign before returning to the Urbs. Then characters would have ti get back to Roma to stand for Consul, or other ranks and then get the corresponding ancillary. Afterall it was an important aspect of the late republican history, that Triumvirate had to extend Caesars powers as proconsul .And later of course he failed to stand for Consul inabsentia, and the rest as they say is history.

It's possible that someone could do this, but the RS Team decided long ago not to. Reasons being that the campaigns are expected to be quite long anyway, and making them 4tpy would add a great deal of length that could cause players to never finish. I guess, to be honest, no one on the team was in favor of it or liked the idea.

The other problem is the 'extreme' complexity of the Roman offices and political leadership. Tone worked on the Roman stuff almost exclusively, and I have to confess I could never get a good grasp of how it all worked. So unless someone has a passion to do this, there just isn't anyone left on the team who can.

The swap factions (including Capua) replace Sparta in their campaigns.
In every other campaign, it is Sparta that is present.

The Capuan faction replaces the Roman Rebels. Sparta is present in that campaign.

Well maybe but that would be a lot of work for the main mod, there is/was a 4-tpy sub-mod so maybe it is a case of getting together with the author of that to see if they are planning on upgrading it.

I think DVK mentioned he may look to a later time-frame or a very focused campaign on the British Isles next rather than more turns.

Whenever I move a unit, the standard bearer and officer move to the correct location but the rest of the unit lags behind. The officers then move back and regroup with the rest of the unit. It's really annoying when you're trying to move precisely. Also, I have really laggy battles when playing as the Bosphorans and only the Bosphorans.

The Bosporans were known for being really sloooowwww. Just kidding. I have no idea why that would be.

I know that officers and standard bears in RS2 seem to have a mind of their own sometimes, and I have yet to figure out why.
It is a bug yet unfixed...

I am unable to make changes to descr_buildings file in the one turn folder. I receive a message "access denied".

I'm was trying to, once again, remove the restriction of recruiting generals.

    Don't know how to.

Also Dvk, none of the alternative player formations solve the issue of certain hoplite units not lining up.

Turning off UAC is pretty simple. Just follow the steps below and remember it will not turn off until you reboot your computer.

    Win 7:

    1. Press Start, write "UAC" in search window, "Change User Account Control settings" should be found - click it.
    2. Move the slider downwards to "never notify" position.
    3. Press "OK" and reboot computer

    Vista:

Try Win 7 method, but untick "Use User Account Control..." alternatively you can go to main User Accounts page in Control Panel, click "Change Security Settings" and then untick before mentioned element.

Perhaps it would help to remove the 3rd officer from the unit?
