When I try to begin a Carthage campaign, it says: "choose an item from the list."
And when i quit Roma Surrectum to see what's wrong it says that there is a script error.
Did I do something wrong or is this a problem?
Please help me i want to play RS 2.5

    Hey guys!
    Playing roman campaign.
The civil war/rebellion started at 99 provinces
The turn before the war started and about 20 provinces or so rebelled, some of my governors lost their ability to move(they could only move a very short distance)/their management/loyalty/influence/command stats and they reduced the public order in the settlement they were in drastically.
Now i've reconquered most of the rebellious settlements, but whenever i place a governor in one of those settlements, he bugs and what i explained earlier happens to him.(after a turn has passed)
After i move him out of the settlement(he can barely get out of it since he can only move so much) and I end turn again, he reverts to having good stats/being able to move.
Can someone help a brother out?

We are doing some testing and looking for this...that's all I can say right now. BUT, if you are placing the SAME governors back into the settlements after moving them out to try and avoid the rebellion, they will rebel again. Don't move Governors out of the city that show this behavior, as they WILL rebel no matter what you do.

So i'm still having this problem. I killed off every governor that this happened to, but the problem is, every settlement that took part in the rebellion and has a new governor inside debuffs the governor after one turn, and rebels the next if i don't move the governor out. Tested it out and it happens repeatedly, i.e i conquer the settlement place a governor settlement rebels, rince and repeat. soo..how could i just turn off the rebellion and resume my game from an earlier save?

tl;dr How do i turn off roman civil war event?

I think around turn 53, the game crashes every time I attack a settlement or army.

If it helps I was the Averni when this happened.

Have a problem with the City of Akragas.
I'm playing as Rome- 1 Turn campaign. Every time I will build a proconsul's palace I get a CTD. Also every time, when 1 turn left to build this to the the end, the game crashes!
This means, It'll never trigger the marian reforms and that means, I'll never have the beautiful roman legions! To get rid of all barbarian people

If this helps - I have Win 7, 4GB of ram, AMD Premium vision videocard, playing whit the lowest video setting (no high quality units, vegetation etc.) and have the german translation for v2.5.
Ah ehm and installed RSII in the right way into right folder.
So what's the problem?? Script error or what the hell is wrong whit akragas??

Does anyone know why I can't play Bosporus on Rs2 2.5? It's one of the swap factions. I can play all the others. Which sucks cause the only one I wanted to play was Bosporus

I installed this Mod now about 3 or 4 times: First vanilla RTW with all patches (in C:/).
What worries me is that at start-up (after the laucher) the old VEGA picture and the video part with the charging cavalry appears. I experience occasionally ctds which may be related to this. At one time I had an error message in french.

It is not the install per se, but the reason must be in the downloaded files. Perhaps my patching before installing the mod has caused this? Please advise - what else could be wrong? This never happened when I installed the Mod using DVKs DL with installing all the required patches.

Hello, TWCenter! It's lovely to be a part of such a fine community. I'll start my membership in this forum by asking for help with a Roma Surrectum 2.5 bug. When the general gives his pre-battle speech and the men cheer, all infantry that use the hoplite animation set (to include ANY kind of hoplite and a few other units whose names elude me) have a major animation bug. Instead of cheering, they simply stand still and their spear-holding arms move forwards and backwards in a jerky fashion (the animation has exactly two "frames": forward and back).

If I'm not mistaken, all units (or most) use the same cheering animation ..?

I don't know if this has been asked or answered yet, since there are 89 pages on this thread.

I installed RS2.5 on my steam copy. It's all perfect and everything. Every faction works. Except Rome. I tried playing as Rome and it works on the campaign map, but everytime I start a battle it just crashes to desktop. I've tested every other faction and it doesn't have this problem. That's great, but the only faction I really want to play is Rome. Can anyone help with this? :|

Do you have 'unit shaders' enabled in your preference.txt file?

    Hello,

After spending a couple of hours searching I have reached the end of my patience. Could someone please tell me why I can't change the campaign on steam? I change the command line to a different faction and I still get carthage. I can play carthage, but that's all.

    Thank you all!

I'm playing a Rome One-Turn campaign, and i get notifications about censor and qaestor elections, but never about consul elections. None of my generals or family members have the Consul trait. Its been over 20 turns, and there hasnt been a single election for a consul. Any ideas?
