Crash after map select - Only land battles and sieges

Hey guys!

So I just recently installed NTW on my new Alienware laptop, and I've only played a few naval battles so far.
But today I wanted to try a land battle, and when I selected a map (tried several maps) the game crashes to my desktop. This happens with sieges aswell, but not with naval battles..
I uninstalled all my mods, restored the cache from steam, updated my GFX card and tried running it in admin. None of this works. Don't really get it.

If naval battles work but not land battles, does it do this with no mods installed?

Have you deleted the scripts folder before verifying the game cache?

I reinstalled the game and did some trail and error with my mods, and it seems that WoS was the sinner. Guess I'll have to find another smoke mod. So I hope it will run smoothly now.
