    Default descr campaign db questions

    If I change this string (descr_campaign_db):

    <destroy_empty_forts bool="true" />
    to
    <destroy_empty_forts bool="false" />

    forts that I build become permanent?

    I would add back the devastation
    <fort_devastation_distance uint="0" />
    - <! - Maximum movement point extents for Determining devastation tile targets for forts
    ->
    <army_devastation_distance uint="0" />
    - <! - Maximum movement point extents for Determining devastation tile targets for field Armies
    ->
    <fort_devastation_modifier float="0.0" />
    - <! - Num devastated tiles modifier for forts
    ->
    <army_devastation_modifier float="0.0" />

    what values should I put instead of zero?

    yes setting destroy_empty_forts to false will make them permanent...if its true they will disappear if nothing is in them for 1 turn....also this is what my devastation looks like;

    Code:
          <fort_devastation_distance uint="20"/> <!-- maximum movement point extents for determining devastation tile targets for forts -->
          <army_devastation_distance uint="20"/> <!-- maximum movement point extents for determining devastation tile targets for field armies -->
          <fort_devastation_modifier float="2.0"/> <!-- num devastated tiles modifier for forts -->
          <army_devastation_modifier float="1.0"/> <!-- num devastated tiles modifier for field armies -->
    and i get a lot of devastation in my game so maybe try half of these numbers and see if it's what you want...if not then gradually increase to find a level you are happy with...

    another question:
    What is the meaning of this string?

    <fort_fortification_level string="1"/>

    Which file is this in??? I ask cause I went through mine and can't find that line...Either way I believe that it's what it say's it is (the fortification level)...It's kinda like stronger walls, gates, ballista towers, and boiling oil...these types of things...I believe it can be set 1-5 with 1 being equivalent to mote and bailey and 5 the equivalent of a citadel...Don't quote me on all this as I'm somewhat unsure but it's my best guess since I can't find it in any of my files to test it...

    sorry I realized the error but I do not know how to delete the thread I opened earlier,,,,,
    I did it because no one had responded to the open tread section ss6.4 and needed an immediate answer because I did not have much free time today ...... I was wrong, but I'm not rude

    Honestly this type of behavior is unnecessary and very RUDE...He's obviously fairly new here and deserves a little understanding...give the guy a break for cryin out loud...It is possible to explain to him his mistake without being a jerk that's all...
