    Default Some Memorable Battles...

Why not share some stories of some particularly memorable M2TW/Kingdoms battles?

Try to give the campaign situation surrounding the battle as well so that we know exactly what was at stake etc. in the battle in question.

For me my most memorable Medieval 2 battle has to have been in the Britannia campaign, playing as Ireland, after unifying Ireland and launching an invasion into Southern England. Pretty soon I'd over-extended myself and had my King leading a lacklustre army garrisoning Arundel when a full English stack lead by what appeared to be the entire English Royal Family lay siege and stormed the walls. Against all odds I managed to push them off the walls and lead a hopeless infantry charge through the gates to mop up the infantry in front of the walls - all the while with about 3 or 4 English generals on the nearby hillside, looking down at the massacre of their men. Had the AI decided to charge their generals in, I would have been decimated and England would have curtailed my entire invasion...by some miracle, however, this didn't happen, and I managed to hold out until time elapsed. (As a result of this battle, anyway, in crushing England's main army it eventually lead to the defeat of the English and them being replaced entirely by the Baron's Alliance in the north).
