Pure rage

Two of my stacks in the field, one led by the AI, one by me. The enemy is outnumbered 3 to 1.

My ally stack happens to be lead by the faction leader, a mighty guy with 10 stars. Guess what he does first? He veers off straight into the enemy army all by himself with no help coming soon, and gets brutally murdered before the real battle even starts.

So please, share your pure rage experiences you had in RS.

The very hard battle settings are in no way realistic. An example is how a silver defense/attack legion will take +40% casualties against a Barbarian army of roughly equal size.

Made me stop my campaign.

The VH settings add +7 to the AI's stats - sounds exactly right. In fact you did well - you could have lost.

No matter what the AI will get the most heavy unit it has and send it charging toward the enemy. And more that he is a faction leader.

So blame the AI

Why did you let your fraction leader be controlled by the AI?? That was bound to happen.

I didn't get to choose, I was attacked and I wanted backup.

Sounds like a typical Roman; aggressive, selfish, desperate for glory. Well he died gloriously(assuming you won the battle).

I hear ya tho, I rarely, if ever, let an AI General controlled army venture into a battle. It's almost always gonna cost you his life.
Can't blame the mod, it's a "total war series" problem, considering the generals do the same thing in Shogun 2.
