BTW, if you have trouble with your Launcher working with Steam, check with Paedric....I 'think' he fixed that in RS2.5 for the Launcher you gave use.
I could be wrong, but I thought I read that. Worth a PM, anyway.

Hey, got the 2b patch but I'm still getting the crash when it enters into a battle around a settlement with wooden walls. 4 error messages appear then a crash, something about not locating a file, I know there are others who have mentioned this.
Love the mod. Just attacked Sparta as the Aetolians with a force 3 times the size of the defenders and got crushed! That spartan general infantry unit is a total beast!
We know about the wall issue, but unfortunately the modder who coded them in left the team due to RL commitments. However, CC and I are in touch with Limes, who made them, so we hope to be able to solve this issue once we've learned how the wall coding works

I was going to try and troubleshoot the wall issue in a custom battle, but there is no siege equipment, so I can't assault a town with a wooden wall. Is that intentional??
I know a fair bit about the wall code, but I can't find anything in EDU that will let me into a Custom Battle.

That's weird. I just played a custom battle which did allow me to use siege equipment (or let the AI use it). There's a little ram figure on the bottom right of the unit selection element.
But make sure to select 'wooden wall' instead of 'wooden pallisade' when setting up the custom battle, otherwise it won't display the walls that need fixing. Thanks for wishing to take a look at it

You can only use rams against it, not ladders or siege towers.

I'm not exactly sure if this is also the thread for issues with Iberian Conflict, but that's what I've got right now. I'm in a campaign as Carthage, summer of 221 BC, and when I end turn it CTD's. I tried it a few times, and did different things in the preceding turn to see if it would change it, but no dice. If it helps, information-wise, I think one of my settlements might be revolting at the turn end, so that could be contributing to the CTD. But I can't be sure it is revolting (since I can't get to the next turn), but I just thought it would be good to mention, as it might be a possible reason. Other than that, everything is working spot-on for me so far! Class mod!
Quick question: if use the show error feature on the launcher, will that tell my why it CTD's? Part of me thinks I remember seeing that somewhere...
Yeah, I was right about civil revolt being the cause. I used process_cq to build all the temples, law, and entertainment buildings I could to raise the PO, and then when I ended turn everything was fine. So I've got a bug that makes Iberian Conflict CTD on civil revolt. Anything I can do about that?
Sorry about all the posts together. I keep thinking of things back to back.

Usually, show_err might give a clue about what's going wrong, but it very likely won't in your situation. I'm quite sure that the revolt CTD was solved, at least it is for VII. Weird that it wasn't for TIC. I don't know what happened exactly, I'm also not into the TIC mechanisms since it's long since I've worked with it. It should generally function, though.

I don't think the revolt bug was solved in TIC, IIRC.
I don't think so either.

Ok. Of course, it was released in 2008. That's like an age ago

I noticed this problem while attacking my carthaginian besiegers in Carthago Nova. Not sure what causes this sort of problem, as I know nothing about modifying battle maps, but I thought I'd point it out.
We know that there are some issues with those walls. We're working on it, but it might still take a while since wall coding is very complex.
Did you get any error messages while loading the battle?

Yeah it's no problem, it didn't affect the battle in anyway.
Now that you mention it, I did get a message. It was something along the lines of "file missing: blah blah barbarian internal corner" or something like that. I'll see if I can't refight the battle later to get exactly what it was.
That would be great. When we've gathered all error messages we will know which parts are still missing and it shouldn't be that hard to add them with that knowledge

I haven't been able to pin it down, but Public Order bounces around all over the place (playing as Rome at least).
I noticed that changes in taxes/garrision which seem okay will explode unrest the next turn
However, I just had a city go from 180% to 40% without any changes in taxes/garrison/governor/buildings etc. which was really flukey. I think it has something to do with the Roman Leadership.
(the rioting whenever a gov. building is completed might be linked as well)
Hm. Are you sure that it wasn't caused by raising the taxes to a level above 'low'? When you do so, a FM will lose his 'governor' trait, which would explain a dramatic loss of PO.

Hey guys, I'm having some troubles with CTD's in my game. This is the first time I installed RTRVII so I can't say if it particular to this patch, but posting here seemed better than opening a new thread.
Basically I'm getting random CTD's, they seem to be most common when entering or leaving a battle but also happen on the campaign map. What might be an issue is that I'm playing on Steam, so I'm not using the RTR launcher. Also I'm playing on windows 7, there was a link in the information thread about CTD's on newer OS's, but that seems to be dead. I'm not getting any error messages.
Any advice on how I would go about troubleshooting this? Thanks in advance
Did you install our latest patch (2a) and the hotfix?
