General question re Patch 2

Dear Forum,

1)Then I installed the original RTR VII and the corresponding hotfix in my RTW folder and I enjoyed RTR VII greatly. Unfortunately I missed to install Patch 1(a) and now I learned that Patch 2 has already been published. Is it now adequate to install only Patch 2 by skipping Patch 1(a) ?
I´m simply asking because in the Patch 1(a) rar-file is a folder named “launcher”, which is missing in the Patch 2 rar-file.

2) Is the Roman Leadership disabling-mechanism implemented in Patch 2 or must I still install the switch repair?

P.S. when I´m going to install this patch, must I simply replace the RTRVII folder in the RTW directory with the RTRVII folder from the rar-file or must I extract the files from the "new" RTRVII folder in the existing RTRVII folder (in the RTW directory).

You should point the installer to your main RTW folder, after that it will extract into the RTRVII one and replace all the files which were changed since the 1.0 release

As for the leadership-switch, I don't know the answer, but Muizer should be able to help you out

...but there is no launcher in the Patch 2-package. In the rar file is "only" a RTRVII-folder and a data-folder plus a campaign_map_reset within.

The patches are cumulative. In any case, that fix is not to be used with anything other than the unpatched game. Considering it's obsolete now, I've removed it from the Roman Leadership feature highlight. Thanks for reminding me!

If, for whatever reason, your launcher does not work, navigate to your RTRVII\Data\world\maps\campaign\barbarian_invasion folder, back up descr_strat.txt and rename the NO_RLS.....txt to descr_strat.txt.
That should work. (don't pin me down to the exact file and folder names. If they're off by one.........well you know what I mean.....).

Enjoy it while you can though, the switch may be disabled in patch 3
