Default A major problem making me lose battles

Whenever I wanna charge my infantry( or cavalry ) at someone, (I usually deploy one unit of cavalry into two lines, you know, the right click+drag command), and when I'm sure I'm gonna crush my opponent, my units which I ordered to charge are "leaving behind" some units. The first line charges, and the second just stays in place and are making movements like when they are gonna be charged. The weaker and outnumbered enemy routs and destroys my units.. I mean...

    Thanks.

It's a common problem with all TW games, I suggest you place your units just near the enemy and wait until all of them regroup, then charge. Otherwise, you're just sending a few squads at a whole 200 + group of warriors.

Yeah, it's a good thing if they have stopped and are formed well before charging

It's a pain having to do it, but don't tell your cavalry to charge - let them walk at their opponent and they will charge properly then. You have to get them properly formed up first and they must not change formation while charging. You must hear the horn sound and see the lances go down to be sure the charge has worked. Then you have to keep clicking on the unit and telling it to charge or tell it to change formation so that the whole unit gets into action. I don't bother trying to get units to charge together in formation - just pause the game, tell each one what its job is individually, then unpause and let loose the dogs of war!
