Patching Problem With Barbarian Invasion

I went to reinstall Rome Total War and Barbarian Invasion yesterday and it seemed to be working fine until I tried to install patch 1.6. Unfortunately, I get an error message when ever I try to install the patch. Previously I'd never had a problem patching Barbarian Invasion.

Here's the error message:
Error Code: -5004 : 0x80070005
Error Information:

PAPP:Rome - Total War - Barbarian Invasion - patch 1.6

Any ideas? I've tried downloading the patch again from a different site, but it's the same thing.
