Can someone tell me if anyone is doing a american indian, 1300s-1500s era MOD, because it would be great if we could do one, anyone in?

I think native america total war was doing that but im not sure if it died

Native america: total war doesnt sound great though, i want to focus completely on middle america.

Its completely fine if you want to start your own mod etc. That is commendable. Dont worry about what others have done already, if you want to do this bad enough it shouldnt matter. I wish you luck.
Oh you dont need to bad talk NA:TW - from what I read in the past about this mod they were doing very creative and original things, and even if they werent, theres no reason to say that.

I like the idea- it's got alot of scope.

My only suggestion is to wait for MTW2. Two reasons:

1)It's not that long till MTW2.

2)Much of the archtechtual and unit work will be done already, and you wont have to worry about rendering jungles, since they're already going to be in the game (well there's a couple of screens with jungle-type terrain)

and publius, dont worry im not deiberatly bad mouthing native america but itsa been inactive for several month, they need to focus on a part of america cos doing the whole of america is aiming slightly to high

So, if i waiting for M2: TW, who would like to join me then?
