Succession Game Anyone?

Evening all. Currently thinking about starting a succession game for Rome. I am leaning towards using EB1.2 and perhaps playing as Carthage (or Baktria). We could pass on the save file every ten rounds or so. The floor is open for discussion. We can always use vanilla, a different mod, or faction. If enough players are interested we can open another in due time. I am not interested in making this a serious rpg, only an entertaining way to play through a campaign with other members and seeing where we end up.

I will work on putting together the main thread if anyone is interested.

I'd do it for vanilla. Although some rules will need to be made on what we can and can't do. Like if someone chooses to build something the next person can't just undo that. We wouldn't get anywhere.

I've been thinking about doing one of these for a while, so count me in. Could be great fun. Ten turns is a fair few though, especially between many players. Perhaps we could run a couple if there is sufficient interest.

I'm interested, although I am not a great player. Perhaps this will help me to become better by observing others. Maybe add a participant list in the OP? I'm up for using mods too but would rather vanilla.

Well there are more than enough people interested, so how about we get this underway. I think the consensus is for vanilla. Is eight a viable number of players, or should we split into two groups? Shall we vote on what we play on (turns, faction, difficulty, rules, etc.)?

I intend to document my turns, but others might not. I'll take screenshots at the start and end of my turns so you can see what's happening at any rate.

VH/VH (m/m may be fine for 1 person, but if multiples are playing the game will end up even easier (comparitavely)...)
5 turns sounds agreeable
long campaign (short is too short for 10/5 people, based on the speed which people seem beat the game)
and might i suggest a different faction? TSE is kinda overpowered...
other rules... i dunno. depends on the faction.
though i do suggest people don't start building something at their last turn. t'would be annoying for the next person, no?

@ fides: (i may be wrong, as this is a first for me, but it sounds like) a campaign with several emperors. one guy plays X turns, sends the save file to someone else, they play X turns... etcetc

Also, you cannot undo anything another has started, so no destroying buildings or emptying queues,
no more than 1 building/unit being built per settlement.

A barbarian faction sounds good, although the Britons are extremely easy, I haven't played any others but Spain sounds like fun.

Spain/Germania/Britons/Gaul/Scythia/Dacia/Thrace OR any other suggestions, I think barbarians would be fun though.

oh. i have to work tonight. if this gets going tonight any time between 5/10 i won't be reacheable for my turn, so skip me.

so far as barbarians are concerned, i vote gaul , dacia or spain. britons are too easy (chariots), and germania is (argueably) the most powerful barbaric faction in the game. i've played spain (not too hard once you've taken ilberian peninsula). i've never played dacia, what about that? barbarians with seige equipment :0

also. you guys (who're playing) should be aware that i specialize in defence. if you start some sort of risky offensive move before i go up, i mightn't be able to follow through. fair warning. offense is my weakness.

I agree Britons are too easy, I've never played as Germania so I have no clue.

Gaul/Dacia/Spain then.
