Samsung Galaxy S Plus. Is it good?
My former iPhone 3 (3 not 3GS) is broken and out of warranty, so a week ago i sent it at the technical assistance for an estimate. They called me back today telling me that if i want to fix it, i have to pay 170 euro cash. Plus, I was told that if i don't want to pay that money, or if i want to get a new cellphone, they could keep it permanently and they will give me back 50 euro cash.
Today i went at the Vodafone store close to my house and i noticed they are selling a Samsung Galaxy S Plus for 235 euro. It would be perfect considering that my budget for a new phone is 250 euro. So i thought:
- they give me 50 euro cash for keeping my old Iphone3, i can use those money to pay the difference, so 235-50= 185 euro, the cash i'd pay at the end for the Samsung.
- the fixing cost is 170 euro, the new Samsung is 235. At this point it's better to get a new phone.
- my broken iphone is out of warranty, adding 50 euro more i can get the Samsung (brandnew and with the warrenty included)
- Samsung Galaxy S Plus is more powerful than an obsolete Iphone 3 and it uses Android OS who is better than the Apple counterpart for sure
Now, i think that considering my budget, i will go on the Samsung Galaxy S Plus. What do you think about it? Dont tell me to get the Galaxy S II or Iphone 4S because as i said, i have just 250 euro to spend actually

I own one. I am satisfied.
Until I heard someone else got a S2 with more MB's of internet every month at a lower mothly fee. Damn you Vodafone for raising prices!
Anyway, if it is cheaper then the S2 get it. It is also slightly smaller so it will fi in you pocket a little better. (It is slightly more thick though). And whatever you do get a rubber protective cover.
Oh, wait. I see you are not getting a new contract. Well, I believe th S Plus is a nice phone.
Miss me yet?

S2 is like 500 and more euro, so it's off limits for me actually. S Plus market price is 335 here. But it's discounted 100 euro. A special offer i suppose.
Has S Plus the flash on the camera?

I don't think it has a flash, I've read many reviews and it doesn't have one, the SII does. Heres a comparison:

On Androids, you get Whatsapp for free? Or you pay like for the iphones?

Have you got a Samsung? Than you need to install Samsung Kies, and update your phone using that program.

I did mean the pc program, not the preinstalled Kies Air on your mobile, which is incapable of updating your OS.

Re: Samsung Galaxy S Plus. Is it good?
I have the Galaxy S not sure about the Plus, I like it, but it has some software quirks that piss me off sometimes.
The 8MP cam is great and it has flash, but sometimes options are annoying to set. Maybe I just didn't take the time to read the manual, but who wants to sit and read a manual?
