    Default Werewolves?

I'm a huge fan of werewolves and found out they exist in warhammer universe....as armies. I can totally see them charing with on all four then standing up to rip their enemies apart. Of course, if possible. Any form of werewolf addition would satisfy me.

Is the team considering adding them in 2.0...or ever?

    What do you guys think?

This is all the info on Werewolves in warhammer i've found:

In the first Gotrek and Felix novel: Trollslayer, there is a mini story involving the Children of Ulric, who take the form of Wolves. Felix is captured along with a young girl. Her father slays a Tzeentchian Cultist Sorceror, who then takes the form of the Wolf-man, and nearly kills Felix, before, Gotrek steps in to own him.

While the girl is human she has several wolf like features (Teeth and some mild dog like behaviour). It's not clear whether she actually is a Werewolf, but her father can take the form of a Wolf-man.

In the 6th Edition Hordes of Chaos, there is a story about a Norscan Trader talking with a man of the Empire, who tells of the Wulfen, which are described as being wolf like spawn.

The Vampire Counts Army Book, 7th Edition, there is an item called the Talisman of the Lycni, which increases the movement of the bearer and seems very similar to the word Lycanthrope (Another term for werewolves).

Werewolves used to be in CoW (1.44), but they were taken out due to CTD issues with torches and such.

And from what I remember, Sylvannia did have some Werewolves lurking within it's borders. I think that the Vampire Counts used them as shock troops, if I remember correctly.

I too get no results if I google "Warhammer Werewolf"

Werewolves on the other hand..I have found this

    http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum...st/250076.page

I know this is a custom made army but it points to an actual reference from the lore, sadly, only to the one Ulysses mentioned.

Guess it ain't gonna happen then

Nice minis but as their creator stated it's very losely based on the lore and the army itself is a chaos one.

Forge World is...Forge World. Most of their models have only unofficial rules and these ones can only be used in the Storm of Magic and it's resin for 32 quids - way to much imho

Yes, but we're talking about putting them in the game aren't we?

It's not like Forgeworld is pulling stuff out of it's ass any more than GW. Less so really. They brought back Chaos Dwarves and Fimir. They're the good guys.

In the second edition there was an entire army list for them, each one had three stats: one as human, one as wolf and one as wolf-man.
The closest thing in GW model terms is the were-bear (and the king of the Baersonlings) Beorg Bearstruck. In the rest of Norsca wulfen are a particular type of spawn in a wolf/wolf-like aspect that are fed by their family but must live as outcasts until war calls. In older editions there were Ulsarks and Ulfewenar which were also shape-changers and beserkers as described in Tome of Corruption. Vampires used to be able to turn into wolves and bats, in later editions Von Carsteins were still able to turn into wolves, I'm not sure what state vampires are in now.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are so certain of themselves, but wiser people are full of doubts.

As already mentioned there are both "good" werewolves listed as Children of Ulric and "evil" werewolves listed in Sylvania and I believe some of the Norscan Chaos tribes. I also would love to see at least one army get a unit of them both in the tabletop and in CoW.

I know what they will say. Same as has been said before when people have requested things.

You want it do it yourself.

I think a fairly easy way to add them in would be wolf head added to orc big un body with some alterations and a reskin. Anything much more elaborate than that would need animation work.

It was not really a request, merely a suggestion.

If I knew how to mod I'd probably be making something of mine right now
