Is revealing secret traits possible

Back in vanilla MTW I it was possible to reveal the secret traits of opponents (I remember it that way at least) using spies. In my recent game I just found out the Pope is secretly a woman! Is there any way to reveal this (and discredit the Pope). I tried spying several times, and no "blackmailing" option seems available to my diplomats when negotiating.

What your trying to do is impossible. If a traits visible its visible to everyone else.

and for realz, I don't think there is a way to make use of that trait, it's just a little joke from CA I think

even though not possible in M2TW, I surely also miss that featurer. I wonder is it possible to introduce thsi trough modding? i guess blackmaling trough diplomacy is too much.
But perhaps theres a way to make a "secret" trait with no/little effect. When a character gets succesfully spyed, the secret trait then becomes "revealed" with some heavy penalites.?
