    Default EDU missing xperimental units. version 1.5

    Why?

    Missing dire wolves, giants, centigors, chaos hounds, skaven, daemon prince etc etc

    I bet on conflicts (or lack of) with animations and engine (i remember chaos hounds who carried torches , which caused CTD) ..so they probably took of those units for avoiding many ctds.

    iirc

    dire wolves, chaos hounds - ctd when using torch, i think could probaby be fixed by adding handlers and use the wardog code
    giants, daemon prince - ctd, probably because anim and unit type being elephant
    centigors - I remembered seeing them in the forum, but that's not the proper model, just some werebear's experiment
    skaven - tail anim

    I'm also not sure if those anim ctd occured randomly or not.

    I tried using them with handlers but they would still cause random crashes on night battles, specially when zoomed close in. Very unfortunate cause they are some great models.

    It needs the wardogs height to be at 2.6 in descr_animal to avoid a CTD in battle.

    Not sure about that though.

    I brought over chaos hounds, dire wolves, giants, centigors. all work.

    I am confused over the chaos hounds and dire wolves as the models that caused the crashes were wardog type units iirc.

    But the ones I have copied over from 1.4.4 are mounts with invisible riders.

    Would those also cause a crash? So far I have not experienced any with this new configuration.

    They were added as mounts with invisible riders and caused crash like that. I also tested them as "wardogs" and they still cause random crashes. They tend to occur in night battles.

    Perhaps we can check out what UndyingNephalim do the wardogs in hyrule total war and apply that to these dogs.

    Yes, skaven works, but they have issues with tail anim which points up to the sky when the units die.

    so do groundhogs and prairie dogs tails when they die

    But i think they're RATS.

    Well. The issues with those skaven models are that their animations don't look organic enough, perhaps.
    iirc werebear said somewhere that's the reason why skaven not appeared in-game yet.

    PS.I never actually saw the 2 animals you mention with my own eyes. Just known of them from searching google. The squirrels here are a lot more different

    The Daemon prince won't work. However every other no_custom unit from 1.4.4 works
