    Default Larger bodyguard sizes

Well, maybe my search-fu isn't very good but either way I wasn't able to find anything on this.

Anyhow, my bodyguard units apparently top out at 48 people (normal unit size) even though according to the EDU there's supposed to be 60 of them. Now, I can take away their general_unit trait and that should technically work at the start of a campaign if I assign them to the generals in descr_strat, however this will of course make any subsequent generals not have the same bodyguard unit. So... is there a way to make generals have larger retinues of bodyguards?

you could try traits/ ancilliaries, either of these that add personal security to the general, also had men to the bodyguard unit. If i remember right , its three men to every personal security point added.

Sorry guys, lousy wording of the question on my part. I know about the security traits giving more bodyguards thing, what I was trying to figure out is how to have the bodyguard unit have the full number of soldiers as listed in the EDU instead of a fraction of that because I was trying to get them to have a retinue of 60 guys instead of ~20-30. Anyway, looks like the default bodyguard unit apparently gets 4/5ths of the maximum amount of soldiers indicated in the EDU, so essentially all I had to do is set the unit at 75 men and thus generals get 60 off the bat. Sorry about the confusion, reps are on me tonight.

No no no, I'm sorry for paying more attention to the answer given than the question asked...
